I actually joined the forum some time ago and just have never really gotten around to posting something. Figured now is as good a time as ever to start. Thalarian, Thal, Chris, Christian, A**hole. I've been called it all at some point or another.

I'm an aspiring comic artist (Or so I like to think) and I'm attending college at the Arts Academy in SF, California. Enjoying kickboxing and compiling tons of music in my free time as well as going out as much as possible and waking up in places that I wouldn't recognize even with a tourists' brochure. I'm honest, so much so that it can come off as rude, so don't be offended or put-out if something I say rubs you the wrong way. I'll try not to step on anyone's toes.

Anyways, there's not much about me I keep hidden from the world so I don't mind being asked anything, so long as you think you don't mind hearing the answer.

Thanks for the welcome although I was a bit remiss to add any real information about myself. Add to the fact that I didn't even realize there was a Photo thread that I completely missed and could have posted my pics there.

Unfortunately, the Air Gear anime is what first brought me into the Air Gear fold, and while it was a major disappointment to me I found the manga soon after and have been reading up on it ever since. I am a bit of an Oh!Great fan (Largely due to his excellent perspectives and action scenes as well as his character designs, though I find Tenjuo Tenge a bit more intriguing than AG).

The ripe old age of 24 (Old enough to know better, young enough not to care :sarcastic:) and while attending The Arts Academy I've been taking pre-req' classes in Radiology. Kind of an extreme career move to bounce between animator and MRI Tech :P. Also an OS (Operations Specialist) in the Coast Guard Reserve and am based out of Coast Guard Island in Alameda, CA. I'm currently interning at DreamWorks studios in San Jose, CA and working at Westberg Hot Rod Association in SF doing concept and custom chasis/body art for possible paint jobs on sports cars through indepedent contractors and customers.

I enjoy kickboxing and exercising, going out and partying (Besides Las Vegas, NYC and LA; San Francisco has one of the greatest night-life atmospheres that I've been a part of), hosting theme parties and UFC Pay-Per-View nights at our place, sleeping and spending time on my porch either painting or drawing in my living room.

I enjoy travelling and checking out the nightly activities, and have been to many cities in the US; as well as Hong Kong and Bangkok. It's been a dream of mine to visit (Or live) in Japan and I'm trying to make plans to go there in the next couple of years. I've also been trying to enroll in an exchange program to study art in Paris or London but so far I haven't been holding my breath. :sleep:

Well...sh*t, I don't know what else to say. Feel free to ask anything I guess. :P

Mid - I'll try and get many more pictures to post but those were the only ones I had on my comp. I have to sweet talk my roommate in order for her to give up the password to her comp where she stores all of them. :D

omg the sketches littered around the table looks good Oo...you are interning at Dreamworks...that is soo cool...you seem like a real interesting person. Since you want to be an animator ..heh..that was mostly what caught my eye..XDD

hmm you should post some of your drawings in the art thread sometime, or if not just go there to comment on other people's work XD...hope to see you around more often ^^
