Warn fellow manga lovers of all manga's you have read and DIDN'T like.
DO NOT LIST EVERY MANGA YOU HAVE READ.
Keep your warnings to a top 5 or top 10 list of your most hated mangas.

wow this is a different idea. I say I like it and I'll start the ball rolling.
1. Me-Teru no Kimochi - from the same guy thats doing Gantz. If this ending and the ending from Zero One are any indication (as they usually are) don't expect any better from Gantz.
2. Inuyasha - any further explaination would be an insult. But hey if you like the same thing over and over go on ahead. You'll plenty of the same.

It's a manga from the artist who's down other manga's like Golden Boy and a few others. The story is paper thin and it's mostly hentai in nature, but the art is HORRIBLE!!!
HunterXHunter
It's first chapter started out well with an interesting premise and fairly nice art, but within the first 3 chapters the bottom falls out on both the premise and art. However it gets even worse! The premise becomes a game set-up in the way of challenge, filler back story, challenge won, challenge, filler back story, and wash/repeat. The art takes a nose dive after chapter 1 and degrades into complete kindgarden garbage scribble by volume 18.

Now that you mention it there really is no reason I read this manga. Other than the fact that I'm a total perv.

Usually, I'm a manga gilr than anime. That is, I always choose the manga from the anime. It's the original, hands down.
Manga I love:
Hellsing. I'm seriously addicted right now. And the fact that is close to an end only adds to it. My favourite character is Seras, hands down.
DNAngel. Old Time Classic. Still runs and I'm delighted.
Saiyuki. Why isn't this popular? Shounen action manga with shoujo-like guys. Nothing's better.
Manga I hate:
Fairy Tail. Cheap copy of One Piece with boring storyline. I still wonder how I managed to get to the ch 20...
I have a huge list, but that's enough for now...

Manga I don't like:
Love Love: Never could make sense of the story, headache inducing.
Inuyasha: It's got plenty of fangirls, but that doesn't change the fact that it's a mind-numbingly boring, overly repetitive series that's long since outlived its useful lifespan. The creator's greed is amazing: end it already!

I don't know why, but as soon as I get into it, Naruto is the one I couldn't stand so much I mean like, after the 7th or 8th book, it's just mission after mission, and I just HAD to stop.. >.< I prefer the anime then the manga, they're both pretty much the same to me... :(

I have to totally disagree with you on Hunter X Hunter. That manga is a diamond in the rough. Sure, the art can get convoluted, and there is a sense of a gaming concept present. But each filler seems to hit home in its own way. The fighting concepts are well thought out, the characters are not overpowered, and just about all the characters are likeable in their own unique way. Plus, if you didn't know, Toshiro Tagashi had been fairly sick through vol 18, and yet STILL was able to deliver great plot devices.
If art is all that matters to you, then Hunter X Hunter is worse than average. But if you consider every part of a manga, than this is a total A+.
Mangas to avoid like the plague:
Inuyasha: With no obvious end any time soon, and with the same recyclable garbage we have seen before, Inuyasha fails as a manga. The anime wasn't all that bad, actually.
D. Gray Man: I know there are going to be several of you that disagree with me, but D. Gray Man is convoluted garbage. Half the time I can't understand whats going on, and even when I do, its not worth my time. The anime would be a win if the fillers weren't tied together with the canon storyline.
Embalming: By the same guy who did Busou Renkin and Kenshin. Frankly, I am fairly disappointed in this mangaka's recent work. I can't believe that this is the same guy who created one of the most popular mangas of this century. The art is lackluster, The story makes no sense, and the characters are BORING.
Shiki: Its a good read for you horror types, but outside of the first chapter, which is terrific by the way, the manga pushes the horror envelope so far that it is actually DIFFICULT to read through it, which is a first for me.

Why does everyone dislike inuyasha i actually like most of the series but then again i read the first 200 then skipped all the wya up to the last 20. It thought it was coherent enough for me.

yeah definitely bleach since the start of the save orohime arc, its just a repeat of the rukia arc. and naruto has been down since the sasuke vs. naruto fight. i did like when shikamaru killed that immortal guy.

I'd have to say my least favourite manga so far is Orphen. It was interesting when it first started off, then after awhile, there seem to be this HUUUGGE hole in the storyline like it just skipped from point A to C without going through point B :P my advise: read the novel. I heard it was better. Though I don't think it has an english version..

i have to agree with Chamillion. Bleach and Naruto have been a massive let done so far plus OG's tenjou tenge has had very little development as well
Chamillion
03-23-2008, 12:09 AM
yea tenjo tenge does move slow, but that is the same way since the beggining, although form me i think the fight more than make up for it.
Ten ten is a slow and ppl say it isn't worth reading but they are so wrong. and ppl who say they read only for the artwork should better get their heads checked. i admit that i myself said the manga needs work but i was wrong. the story is deep, theres still alot of things that readers dont know about that keeps them on their toes and every chapter reveals something new. thats more than i can say about AG where sometimes the part goes on and on forever with little development. ppl who question the story should better read the manga again cause everything u need to know is in there. TT does not deserve to be in this thread

i dont think anyone is critising TTs story or artwork, they're both great, it jus goin a bit slow and i hate waiting for things bt considering the fact tha OG also has Air Gear to do guess the only thing that can be done is wait
hayateblitz
03-26-2008, 06:27 AM
hmm. Tenten's storyline is so slow that you have to read up to around chapter 90 to get a good grasp of what actually is going on :x But to me, that's ok. I think its like reading a detective story where you just wait in anticipation for some small little tid bit of info/clue as to what would happen/what actually happened.
What's really bugging me is bleach. I was really into it for the first season of the manga. Then when the second season kicked in, everything just seemed to slow down.. i mean, we already know what villain wants, it was just a matter of time as to WHEN he'd do it... everything we've seen so far repeatedly consists of:
*Take note that the following dialogue does not accurately portray the exact events that took place in the second season of bleach. Please read with caution*
good guys - Oh noes! The villain has made his move!! *countercounter*
villain - Ha! I was just toying with u! Behold my true plan!!
good guys - Gasp! *countercounter* Take that! we're so prepared for u now!
villain - foolish insects! I've already foreseen this! Bwahahaha!
~ will the big bad wolf blow down the house? is this the end for our heoric piggies? ~
-to be continued-
"suspense"
the ending of bleach better be good... :x *mumblesmumbles*

As others have already said, I'd avoid Inuyasha. >.> Of course, the art of the manga alone was enough to scare me away into my little rabbit hole. XD As for the anime, I'd avoid that, too. So many episodes, just repeating the same thing, over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over...<.<...Ugh.
But I dislike the following mangas more:
One Piece
Yu-Gi-Oh GX (I didn't actually read it, but it has been plaguing my Shonen Jump magazine! GET OUT!)
Yu-Gi-Oh (I just find the premise...Dumb...-.-...)
*Waits for retaliation concerning One Piece* <.< I know it's comin'...>.>

Inuyasha is still going? What chapter is up to 600?
I would like to know what you dislike about one piece? I would like to see from your point of view. I also know somebody who doesn't want to pick up one piece, but he can't explain to me why.

I will try my best to explain why it is I dislike One Piece. I'll list them from bigger issues to smaller ones. Don't blame me if I ramble, or just don't make sense. XD
1. I dislike most series' that give off a carefree feel. Others may say that OP has 'meaning,' or that it gets more serious/interesting later, but I've peeked at later chapters, and didn't like it. -.- I'm not goin' into detail, though. Sorry.
2. It doesn't seem to have much of a direction, other than becoming the 'King of the Pirates,' which is kinda funny, as that would imply that he would rule all other pirates, which, to me, would kinda defeat the purpose of being a pirate. Somewhat, anyway. He could still pillage and take over regular places, but to turn all the pirates into one group that has one leader (that is the implication of being King of the Pirates, regardless of 'true' meaning)...I just don't like the direction. -.-
3. The art. It annoys me. It is a minor complaint of mine, as I wouldn't care about it much if I liked the story.
Many more thing I dislike, but am too lazy to type. XD Sorry, Chamillion.

My personal manga S**t list(self censored)
1. Basilisk - the anime was ninja at the highest level but the manga was like a crappy alternative.
2. Death Note - They build you up into a complete f you ending. They nearly put the gun to your head to make you like Light and then bam the big middle finger with the end.
3. Bamboo Blade - Shaolin Soccer with samurai swords nuff said.
4. Tenjou Tenge - And this one hurts my heart. Because OG is one of my favs. The story has literally been going since I was in high school. And a sophmore at that. That's right Ten Ten has been going since before I could even drive(damn March birthday) And exactly where are we? Still waiting on the finals to start.
5.(Sort of) Gantz - I love Gantz I read it all the time, and I think the story and the art are among the best I have ever seen. BUT. Oka is horrible at getting to the point. We have been in this Osaka mission over a year. 1 mission over a year! Dear sweet merciful Lord save this manga from it's self obsessed Author who apparently decided that murdering the main character is a smart move(Still not buying that killing Kurono was smart)

Embalming:
The kenshin series was great and I for one liked buso renkin...So when I read embalming I had to double check if it was the mangaka. The story is cliche and the characters are so uncool. I appreaciate that he is trying to change up his style but it doesn't do it for me.

Exactly!! I always curse that manga/anime when ppl say its awesome. Main characters dying at the end is NOT ORIGINAL ANYMORE! At least make the ending a little less anti-climatic. A fucking battle of geniuses ends with an ACCIDENT. I get the point, but its just not fan-pleasing. =/

i reallly hate these overrated mangas at all:
bleach is okay, but naruto is really pissing me off...
the beginning of d.gray-man is boooooring and the latest chapters are also blunt...
hunterxhunter's quality is tooo inconstant and it is often on hiatus...
and bobobobobobob-bobo ..(whatever) .. well, the name says it all...

Simplistic + Good = Fuck yes.
Simplistic + Suck = Fuck no.
Most shoujo mangaka overdo the sparkles.
Me doesn't like that.
