My Art: The Providence

Well, I think I have been planning to post my art here though I did once at some of my other forums. Anyway, I have some of my old drawings and I'll post my drawings from my two formost art books... Hybrid Fusion Project and Fantasia et Realita. Ill start my introduction to this thread of mine with Hybrid Fusion Project. Please no copying or saving here... sorry for the incoveinence and please bare with me about it. Thank you and enjoy. ^^

^Yeah, I think so... well, like what they used to say... practice makes perfect. ^^ I think... my personal study on atonamy (something that I happen to read upon studying biology) really helps me a lot.

Anyway... I'll be posting another one today... enjoy. ^^

that depends on you ^^
but i read somewhere that the more you use geometric shapes, the more unnatural they'll look. (and it's true)
basically, i use the "guide lines" when i'm not in perfect condition;
there are times i can draw without using them at all.
i use 'em when i don't know how to draw a certain pose (when that doesn't work i make the nearest person model the pose i want :p); and yes, learning anatomy would definitely be a great help.

yep.they cost just a little less here in the phils. but just about a few bucks' difference...i've been meaning to buy one but decided against it :p
right now i can do without them ^^ but drawing the male body is really harder for me...-_-

Honestly speaking... I did use guidelines whe I first started drawing... it works for me at first and soon enough... I don't really nee much of the lines... well I do need a few since it is important for me to know that everything is in proportion. Ruler is not needed (except for solid stuffs like buildings and perhaps items). I heard about that wooden figures... it called a madican I presume? Nah, it's not worth buying it since... well, it doesn't really help much. Anyway, no one actually does things right at the first time right? So practice is essencial (if you have the time) to improve your drawing skills. Anyway... you don't have to go to art school just to learn how to draw... I for one hates art (ironically) and never did take art lessons. It's all about practice and talents would help alot as well.

Sometimes... I do often draw females alot than males and that take a toll on how I should draw males. I think it's all better now since I drew the even number of guys and girls in one period. ^^

Yeah... the eyes are kind of out a little though not many of my fans knew about that. Sharp eyes you have smoosh. ^^

^Yeah... I never did consider myself an expert cause I do find some other people happen to be much better than me. I do have some fans, mostly my friends and from the other websites (like I said... this is not the only website that I have posted my drawings). I was asked to make an art book once but I didn't do so cause I have no time for that. Besides, it took me a year just to make my own signiture designs for my character.

Wow... a comic strip for your school year book. I recalled someone asking me to do one for the school but unfortunately... I was busy with exams so I declined. Comic strip you say... I think I did a trail version of my own comic. My friends recommand me to make a comic and I did... they were eager to read it until we depart our ways to different high school. Sigh... Maybe I'll post my somic strip next time. ^^

Well, I have so many things that I would like to do during my time at High School and unfortunately... I don't have any chance of doing it as well. You're not alone when comes to this kind of situations. ^^

I'll post another one here though I supposed to post this thing on this Friday (my timezone ref: Singapore). Anyway, better doing before I'm off to another holiday. There's a few problems with this one but hey... I am an amatuer artist right? Enjoy ^^

Yup... I guess you did notice that. Anyway, I changed that a long time ago but I'm not rescanning it again because I'm lazy to do that. ^^

Anyway, here's another one though it may not be as good as the rest but I'm saving the best at the end. ^^ Yeah, I'm pretty eager to show that but hey, I can't just post them all within a day right? OH, I'm deleting the past 5 (especially this one) after I posted the next one on the next post due to unforseen reasons.

Well, there are ought to have a few mistakes that I had made on these few earlier drawings. But hey, soon enough I had improved just like my drawings on my RPG character and his tuner plus didn't I say that I'm just an amatuer? ^^' I'm saving the best at the last. ^^ Anyway, thanks for the comments.

@smoosh: Yeah, she's lying on the bed. The mask is something I saw during my visit to Venice. There were plenty of masks there so I thought of drawing one.

Really? I'm really flatthered to hear that though I think Kazashita's drawing skills are way far better than mine. Anyway... just making my own signital syle though I'm pretty much a fan of Kawashita, Ugetsu Hakua and Range Murata's art skills. Just use them as my reference during my amature days (my first years when I started drawing animes) and yeah off to my own skill right after that and I guess their influence still lives inside me after all.

@tenx: I don't know... maybe I'm too used to putting into details since that's what many viewers would want to see right? I mean... it adds up to the math.

@smoosh: Yeah, I wanted to put up some mystery in some of my characters though there were times that I have failed to do so. I just liked those swords... I guess I had been drawing swords a lot during my yonder days and I kinda like got a wide range of designs and mechanics for it if I wanted it to have.

@smoosh: Yeah, I was planning to make the other side of her eye gold while another brown. The same goes for the girl next to her but in an opposite placing... but unfortunately, her eyes were closed.

Yeah, the thing that rotate around her arms are her power... it's something like a devil bringer type of power that uses telekinesis (it's activated with the tatoo on her arm) forming a claw like shadow. Those inscriptions are spells. Something like activation mode for the thing. I was thinking of making a wild looking kinda girl but it seems that I'm just too soft when comes to drawing a character. lol

your drawings go a lot through 'lot of movement' to 'square robots'... that variation give to me a weird effect...

@Tenx: Hmmmm... it's okay. I'll look into this advice as a viewer's opinion which is good by the way lol. Yeah, I do have trouble drawing sometimes and I do need to get that feeling just to express it into my drawings. So you could say, great works come and go... ^^ But hey after all, it's suppsed to be a normal art and those were something of which I had drawn a year or two ago and the latest were the Fantasia et Realitia. But then again thanks ^^

But about Hybrid Fusion 8, actually, I don't really find much of a problem (and so far not many thought there was a problem but you which is interesting) there since the character is "actually" lying on a bed. So I added some shading at some part of the fingers (unfortunately the scanners didn't pick up that faint shading) and on the other part of the finger is flat lying on the bed and of couse I don't want her to have that movement while she's on the bed. The sleeves covers most of the hand (with only the fingers exposed) and it was made that way for my clothing design purpose. The body is mainly to be a little still (since she's lying on the bed so the movement of the clothes and body may be limited) but since the hair is a rather gentle flawless kind of strand, it should be flowing a little as well. But hey, there might be a problem from other poeple point of view as some might just praise if and could not think of it's problem but I'm still open to critism well to some extend of course lol. ^^

Heh, I didn't say that I'm as good at that Hyung Tae Kim. He has more knowladge and plus he had studied something that got to do with visual art at his university years. Unlike me, who had no art training... just experience.
