Well there are some people here who completely pwn you, but you are way better than me XD I'm like a five year old XD
Thinking of 26 pictures to draw would take me such a long time, I wouldn't know what characters to draw and am rather picky about my art anyway. ^^;
Do you have the pictures from M-Z too?

Okay i added m-z to the first post as well as including spoilers for convenience and labeling the pictures by what i used for the alphabet project.

Your art is not bad all. Fairly solid in my eyes. :3
Yeah, the watercolour looks good. Especiall the shell.
Tell me, Jake. What utensils do you use? Well, it looks like you would use crayons or unsharpened ordinary pencils. If you want to draw Manga, you should get a pencil lead holder (0,2mm for drawing the lines and 0,5 for shading). Trust me, the result created by a sharpened pencil point looks much better and it's easier to draw over the pencil lines with a black fineliner (use a 0,05 mm one).
Besides ..erm.. how long do you take to finish one picture? I suggest that you take your time to think up a good concept, draw a concept sketch and then start working on the real picture when you intend to create a professional manga artwork. Otherwise... when you just sketch for fun it's not really important what materials you use and how much time you take. I love 5min pictures. LoL.
Ah yeah, I love how you copy manga artworks made by experts, that's always the first step on the path of a manga artist. And the next step is: use a fineliner to darken the lines and don't smear the pencil outlines. ( Sometimes I'm too lazy to paint over the lines with a dark pen, so I edit my pencil designs with Gimp... with Gimp I make the colours (including the pencil lines AND the ugly pencil smearing) darker to make it look more impressive.
xD
Of course you don't have to listen to me! I'm not an exert myself. ;)
Keep it up.

yea most of my stuff i use 0.7 mechanical for and yea i dont spend any real amount of time on most of them. usually id take a pilot G2 and go over some of my drawings but i happen to have lost both of mine so ive gotta get a few more at the store. they're like a dollar a piece but i like them cause they've got super black ink and make crazily thin lines for me. only drawback is they have a rather long drying time before i can get rid of the pencil.
prolly next up im just gonna be posting some of of my stuff that i did in my studio art class this year as well as redoing the guy with the jacket in ink and on a piece of 12"X18" so i can get credit for that class.

Oh yeah, your new artworks look much better. LoL the first one reminds me of Naruto. The style of the coat has some similarities to the Akazuki uniforms. : D
Good:
-section lining
-graphic black outlines
Not so good:
-proportions (I know that's the hardest thing to learn)
-shading/shadowing (I must disagree, Becca)
The clothes lack creases which would make the picture appear more realistic and creases and overlappings of objects ( for example: fabric of the coat + his leg) are always accompanied by shades.
Aaaaaand... ! I don't think that his biiig Mangaish eyes really suit him. Isn't he supposed to look more mature and old ? If so, you should draw smaller and realistic eyes which would support the impression of a mature and serious man.
Second pic looks awesome (I <3 your section lining). Third one is so fucking ironic, LoL! The dragon pic is solid, I like the colours. :) And the last one is really nice. xD Seriously, your ideas are really good.
Keep eeet up! =D I really like your art style.
