One of the best mangas I have ever read
The series just had so much to offer: cute girls, loads of ecchi (not that I like it), beautiful art, touching romance, and great character development.
The anime that was made sucked and never finish.
The series has been licensed by viz I think and has released 1 volume

so this thread is just for discussion.

I personally loved Aya the most because she was beautiful, modest, and so *cute*
My second favorite character was Misuzu because she was so pretty and cool!
Just how many girls can beat up guys anyways?
and to be able to keep her perverted older brother under control

and I was really saddened by the ending -- it made me cry
which contests to this series's eliteness :B

I"s had better character development and artwork. But just like many other love triangle based stories it started getting bad around ch 60. :winktongue: Sure the art was nice and it's character were well drawn, but I've found the hentai's fan mags that came from it to be better in both art and story, most of the time.

I find No Bra better than Ichigo 100%, Pretty Face, and I"s that were all out at the same time.

I started reading it few days ago, although I like the idea that
that male lead didn't always end up with the female lead but I really feel bad for Aya, till the end of the story she never share a moment with Manaka...

I think the author bit rushed about the story from the start Manaka like Aya, and he feel Nishino just one of his cute friend and than suddenly he start to like her is bit rushed I think...

i read this a while ago two but to be honest i wasnt a great fan of aya, nishino was by far the best. the series wasnt that bad but i thought it was dragged on a bit too long. but i actually did like how it ended.

the way i see it in terms of the females characters
aya = ringo,
nishino = kururu

so since kururu > ringo then by the commutative property of mathematics nishino > aya

aya was lamesauce the same way ringo is now. but anyway, i still think its worth a bit of a read if you got some time. there are definitely better manga of this genre but the characters are memorable and oh boy the fanservice galore.

I gatta admit this was one of the best mangas i ever read...definitly in my top 10...it was so good i almost finish reading all the chapter in a day
But i also have to say i hated to ending !!! lamo!!! i still it should have been Aya and Manaka

^ No offence taken... but still I thought that Aya would most likely be the one for Manaka. I mean Tsukasa seldom hangs around with Manaka until vol 10 or so... and he dumped Tsukasa and they got back again and got separated and in the end got together again...

Besides... those girls that fall for Manaka... looks cute and it's kinda sad when one by one (except Tsukasa) they got dumped by Manaka... sad... I guess though it may bot be possible... I was hoping for the second season of it or at least an extra chaper to the last vol. I just curious to know the life between Manaka and Tsukasa after they met up again at the park.

Maybe it's the kind of romantic story that has to do with reality? Yeah, maybe it doesn't suit your taste and it is after all filled with some ecchi elements at almost every page.

Well, I do confess that the ecchi did attarct my attention (which is normal as I'm a guy) but I was rather interested in the story line and the character design itself. I do find Mizuki Kawashita's(the mangaka of this manga) drawing very good though her latest manga didn't do as well as this manga did... I guess it's the story line.

The mangaka kept us confused by giving Manaka inconsistent feeling, at first he likes Aya, then after that going steady with Tsukasa than afterward he change his feeling to Aya, and suddenly back to Nishino again :(

I wonder why it just so hard for him to confess his feeling since start, it's not like it's secret that he likes Aya from beggining

Well all romance story from Japan always like that though, the main character is mostly useless character that loved by many girl :o

In the ending notes, kawashita confessed that she had originally planned to end the series at the end of their junior high year, with manaka and aya together. But apparently she became attached to all the characters and couldn't stop the series so soon. She had wanted to develop it further, so she extended it.

I cried so much at the end when he didn't end up with Aya though....
I also found this video, which people who remember the ending should appreciate

same here, i thought he would go for aya, their professions are similar and i thought she was the best of all four. i wish the series continued dam i cried (i saw it a long tym ago).

best mangas are the ones that are great but go one foreva until u get bored of it................

I was sobbing the entire time, while turning the pages on my comp, and my dad was wondering what was wrong with me -_-"
I also thought the confession scene during the last movie shooting was really good...it's a shame junpei was so dense as not to see it
And one last move-to-tears part for me was at the end, when both girls were walking away from junpei at the testing site, while it was snowing. It was just too good...

I thought that even though kawashita mizuki introduced to many new girls, the core of the series was between nishino, aya, and junpei. No one else really had much of a chance, despite how close they were able to get.

^Just from your response... I can say that you never did play such a game didn't you. Well... the story line changes depending on how you treat other characters (like if you treat one nicely compared to the others... story changes as your relationship with that person is much better compared to the others and thus the story line changes). In this game you have to decide for Manaka... his actions and speech as it'll take it's effect on the story line as well. I did mostly on Manaka and Aya relationship importance. But I did the same for the rest... just to satisfy my sense of curiousity as a gamer. ^^

Sure there's many of this games (though some games have some explicit scenes @ H-scenes)... if you can find them at Singapore. I got mine at Ginza District at Tokyo, Japan.

Yeah, I felt the same way as well. From all the chapters I have read... I thought that he would go for Aya. After that first kiss their shared (Tsukasa only gave a kiss on his cheek). Disappointedly and unexpectedly, he chooses Tsukasa (of which he broke up with her twice) over Aya.

Aya looks pretty in her glasses. She pretty timid sometimes. If I were Manaka... hmmm... I would rather choose Aya than Tsukasa. Heh... thankfully I have the thing to change that fact. Anyway... I do feel pity for the girls that he had dumped. But they got over it pretty fast. I guess they say that girls are much matured than they looked.

I don't follow. Your logic in saying that someone as outgoing and confident as Simca can equate to Nishino. Who throughout the manga was very aware and uncomfortable with Manaka being with the other 2 girls. If anyone in Ichigo 100% is like Simca its the third girl (her name slips my mind). If anyone is Ringo its Nishino and Aya is probably Kururu. ;)

Hmmm... a math equation to judge the female characters of this manga? lol Anyway, you don't need a math equation for that... just judge them by how far you know about them as you progressed through the chapters. I would choose Aya than Tsukasa. Seriously... even if I were Manaka... I would just keep my first decision to dump Tsukasa and accept Aya while she has the feeling for me... that is if I'm at Manaka's place.

I love this manga so much. I blazed through the whole thing in like a week, because I just couldn't stop. Sooooo good!! It replaced Love Hina as my favorite harem manga.

My fav gals were definitely Nishino (but only later on) and Satsuki (before she began overly exaggerated for comical relief). Both of them were so free spirited and fun, and amusing as hell...not to mention cute.:whistle: Aya was too shy for me, and Kozue was, too. Plus, Kozue was introduced too late to have any real effect.

I guess that's my own taste in women shining through...I like 'em fiesty :P

I live the artwork, too. Beautiful, beautiful stuff...anyone else reading Hatsuoki Limited?

Wow....i started reading this on a Friday day...and finished reading Saturday night....it was that great...I shed a tear at the ending though because i feel that Manaka did not make the right choice at the end......there was alot more going on with Aya and Manaka through out the whole manga than with Nishino....

I wonder if Manka will ever make that film though....the notbook film.....That is what brought them together in the first place....and what really made me think that they should be together....Throught out the whole manga i was just screaming in my head "MANKA YOU DUMBASS! SHE LIKES YOU!" It was all because he didnt know his own feelings and didnt want to hurt the people around him that he lost Aya....

This whole manga was great....thought little depressing at the end since the ending didnt go the way i wanted it too....*sigh*.....Anyway i am done now....

I really really liked it, the end was exactly how I wanted it to be and the author leaves the future of all of them to your imagination [Wich is what I like inside of a manga].
I'd consider this manga the best I've read so far, hope I find better mangas someday soon.

I think that from the start, it was always Tsukasa and Aya - Satsuki was never really part of the fight. Theres' no such thing as a 4-sided love triangle =P

but I think Aya did all she should have. The way she expressed her love wasn't direct and straight to the point, but Manaka knew what was going on, long before the confession scene. He's just so darn dense that he didn't respond as he should've >.<

Suzuka didn't appeal to me as much because of

a) the art wasn't as good

and

b) there wasn't really much character development

oh and c) it's still going, dragging the story out way too much.
