I don't have a PSP, and is this a movie or a game?

Okay, I see the game parts now... I'd rather play with cloud.

Nice CG as usual, but i probably won't bother with this. PSP doesn't have enough other titles for me, while my DS is still healthy with SE goodness.

Graphic prospective... yes, I'm excited about it. I'll be waiting till the FF7 compilation box set is out.

The transition from 2D computer graphics to 3D environments overlaid on pre-rendered backgrounds[4][5][6] was accompanied by a focus on a more realistic presentation, which challenged the development team. According to Kitase, "Right from the time the decision to go with CD was made he [producer Hironobu Sakaguchi] set down a ground rule for the team saying, 'If the player becomes aware of the access times, we have failed'", demanding that an immersive atmosphere be upheld, which led to the programming of various animations to activate while the game loaded data.[54] While the extra storage capacity and computer graphics to which the team now had access gave them the means to implement more than 40 minutes of full motion video movies[54] — an unprecedented undertaking in the genre at the time[54] — this innovation brought with it the added difficulty of ensuring that the inferiority of the in-game graphics in comparison to the FMV sequences was not too obvious. Kitase has described the process of making the in-game environments as detailed as possible to be "a daunting task".[54]

Among the difficulties faced was the potential inability to render 3D polygon models based on the designs of Yoshitaka Amano, the series' long-time character designer. As his style was considered too exquisite to be compatible with the visual format of the project, this issue was addressed by bringing Tetsuya Nomura onboard as the project's main artist, while Amano aided in the design of the game's world map. Previously a monster designer for Final Fantasy V,[70] Nomura's style was more reminiscent of manga, and considered easier to adapt. Another problem faced during development was a rushed production schedule. Veteran series composer Nobuo Uematsu commented in the liner notes of the game's soundtrack: "There is one thing common in all the Final Fantasy games. None of them are complete". Despite delaying the game's release from December 1996 to January 1997, several additions to gameplay and story needed to be made for the game's North American release,[5] prompting a rerelease in Japan under the title "Final Fantasy VII International".

Lol quote. "None of them are complete." My goodness, FF7 Remake will one of the most sold games in all of history. Though, I think it might "not be complete", which adds room for more improvement. :D

I'm excited for this. Not necessarily a remake is it? More of a before FFVII but yeah zack looks cool. Before this releases, I will have final fantasy tactics war of the lions to haul me over.

That's the Crisis Core one,not the normal FFVII.
I heard that there was also going to be a remake of FFVII for PS3.
Might it be true?

they're still deating whether to remake the FF7 for ps3 but if they knew how many ps3's would be bought just to buy that game, they'd be all over it. I know i'd take out a loan from the freaking bank to buy the ps3 for the sole purpose of getting the remake. Onto other matters, i'm so looking forward to this game and the god of war game they are coming out with for psp, both are prequel's to the first game's so they should be good and shed some light into the mystery those games are shrouded in.

I have this game & the graphics are on par with Kingdom Hearts 2. (which is scary to have those graphics in your hands)

GOW: Chains of Olympus is better, but a lil shorter than Crisis Core. Both are must buys for the PSP along with Daxter. The PSP needs more well developed games like these 3, because Sony still doesn't understand that the PSP is capable carrying its own weight if developers make games built from the ground up for the PSP.

I have the game also, and only the big cutscenes are on par. The game has bad storyline if you are new to the FF7 series. It's more of a hack&slash game. Also the hard mode is actually "hard".

A hard mode that is actually hard is a good thing, right? (no pun intended)

Its more of a hack'n slash game= KH 1 & 2

The minor cutscenes look just like minor cutscenes in KH 2 & the big cutscenes are = FF7: Advent Children.

Bad story, well the FF7 spin-off games are cursed with those. lol

YESH! Crisis Core! I bought a psp just to play it xD I'm currently half way through the game. Yes, I agree, its more of a hack'n slash game like KH plus its very story orientated aka lots of video sequence. But HOW is the storyline bad? explain pls. It seems interesting so far. Well, I might be blinded by my love for all things final fantasy with good graphics. lol. But this is like the leading events towards FF7. Now we get to see why Cloud respects Zack so much. What was Sephy like before he became an evil maniac + much much more xD

In other words, I love it so far ^^ of course, each to their own opinion.

I don't think they're going to remake ff7. They never said they will. That brief trailer we saw was just an advertisement for ps3 and nothing more. + I think they wouldn't have made all these prequels, sequels, movie etc if they had that intention in mind. But if they do remake it... well, haven't they reap off enough money from fans already? :P (Though i'd still buy it! *hides*)

To put it quite frankly....

No.

This is why Square can go f*ck itself in the rear. I'm tired of the FF7 knock offs and remakes. After 12 games (and then some...), they have to go back and recreate one of there so called / arguably "best" game in their franchise... I just can stand for that kind of uncreative lack of originality.

They have such talent.. Why do that? Why don't they remake every OTHER FF while their at it? FF6 would be AMAZING on a new system. I swear, FF6 would be a complete turn around. But no. You take the game that was on a recent system and throw it around until something happens. Shame on them. Shame on anyone else supporting them. :/

Chill bro....the only reason I want them to remake FF7 on PS3 is because I own ( but never really played much) the PS1 version. Long story short, I wasn't into RPGs at that time, as a matter of fact lol....I didn't even know what it stood for back then. I'd like to actually beat the game for real, but the graphics sicken me after seeing the PS3 tech demo. I cant bring myself sit through that. Also they should remake it for all those who have just now became fans of the series, but can't find the game anywhere. I think those are good reasons to remake it.
