In terms of his reason for riding though, Yuu has a primary purpose: Soul Searching. He wants to feel somewhere that he belongs, something he can constantly strive at in order to improve and enjoy. Yuu's always felt that he never quite fitted in with people and because of this - AT'ing is now even more special. He wants to utilise his road to protect his new-found friends and explore deeper into what he wants to achieve through AT's.

Overall Appearance: --- Yuu is a fairly small, geeky teenager. Not to say that he doesn't look attractive, his round glasses and messy hair often attract words of "Kawaii!" "Cute!" and glomps from class mates. He has little in the way of muscles, sporting a wiry frame that would make him perfect for a long distance runner. Having little muscles in appearance might may you think he's physically unfit, but Yuu even without AT's his aerodynamic physique makes him quite a contender in sprints.
He wears a slim fitted, dark green coat that resembles a parker jacket. It has a fluffy hood, perfect for hiding his appearance if it;s pulled up over his head when out on the streets. Yuu's usually seen with black, straight cut fitted jeans, but with a plain studded belt to hoist them up round his slim body. They seem ever so slightly frayed around the knees, but not so you'd notice. If he's not wearing AT's, he usually has some chunky skate shoes on. If your in need of an example, i often think these..:

PERSONALITY
Likes:
* Computers - He's a technical mastermind, always altering his own Laptop's performance and looks. He's so protective of it though that he never takes it outside, so most people don't know he owns it. Snuggled in his bedroom, Yuu will love to spend the evenings sitting in front of a monitor.
* Machinery - Yuu always has to know how everything works. he'll take anything apart, and built his own AT's from ground up. At one point, he thought that his skills would give him the edge in his AT matches. However, recently Yuu has spent more time paying attention to his riding. He used to be part of the mechanics club at Higashi High, but in the last few weeks Yuu has begun skipping these for various reasons. Tam, the leader of the mechanics club is now angry at him for this - as though she is outwardly bossy, secretly misses him.
* School - He feels at home there, enjoying the company of classmates much more then the tense environment of home. Before AT's he found it slightly boring to be at home with nothing to do. Therefore, school was the outlet that became the highlight of his week. Originally he made his friendship group from there and became the bassist for the band called "Teardrop"
Dislikes:
* Bullies - Yuu has some experience of being picked on, and as such will try and stand up for himself at all costs when confronted. This usually ends up getting him in trouble at Higashi High, but Yuu knows that if he didn't confront them - it would stay on his conscious forever.
* Parents - They've never treated Yuu well, and as such he tries to ignore them or give relative little conversation to them.
* Gothic clothing - people with very pale skin and spikes/chains on their clothing have always made Yuu hesitant. Not that he thinks of them as bad people, simply that the clothing style scares him and makes him more nervous than usual!

Fears: --- Yuu understands that life is short. He wishes to live his life to the fullest and is afraid that he'll never become truly great at anything. Pain is also something that he's become afraid of. With a physically weak body, punches hurt more than for most people and this has become a bigger and bigger issue for him as he's rose through the AT's ranks. Who knows - maybe time will tell if he finds a way to get round this.
Goals: --- To find his place in the world. Refer to his reason for riding at the top. He wants to make a close group of friends he can truly belong and trust in. Maybe even love? I guess we'll see. He also wants to succeed in his band. Teardrop have become important to him and more than ever - he wants to portray his personality and what he feels.

As such, he's always found it hard to make friends. He wishes it wasn't that way, but the constraints of peers and society have binded him to this outlook on others. Yuu could be caring, kind and warm hearted to many people - he just has to be shown the way.

Birthplace: --- Born in Northern japan, but at the age of 2 moved to Tokyo because of a Job Offer for his father.

Parents: --- Takao Lo and Kairi Lo. Both alive and well, father is at the age of 55 and mother is at the age of 50. Both considering retirement in the next few years.
Siblings: --- Yamato lo, an older brother that died last year at the age of 19.

Yuu used to have a brother that excelled in everything, achieving high grades in every subject at school and performing as a very good athlete. His parents praised him and left Yuu alone, where Yuu spiralled into a reserved, lonely state. This was when he found himself using the computer and machinery a lot, to try and keep his minds off things.
Once Yamato had died, Yuu's parents seemed to treat him as if it was his fault, if anything showing less love to him than before. A year after, Yuu picked up his first AT's. It was a strange experience, finding something he couldn't talk to anyone else about. Where i start in the RP, Yuu hasn't progressed very far in skill, but has a passion and love that makes him look to the sky. VEry shortly after starting he meets Chika and Yui. Together they teach him the basics, eventually letting him into the team called the "Wind Chasers". This later disbanded after Chika lost to Kin, but Yuu still has close ties to the first place he could truly call "home".
Roleplay Sample: --- Yuu's hair was damp, the individual strands of his fringe playing in front of his eyes as he looked out into the driving rain. How much of him was wet from sweat rather than rain was hard to make out, but his deep breathing and arched figure showed he was barely drawing breath. From behind his round spectacles he scanned the scene furiously. Suddenly, an agonising pain shot down the top of his spine. His body buckled forward onto his knees and before he knew it - he was out like a flash.
