For clothing Bo prefers to go casual. Cargo pants, and shorts when the weather is applicable, are his preferable form of protecting his bottom half from the elements while up top when at all possible he doesn’t stray past T-shirt as much as possible, with many choices in both the short sleeve and long sleeve variety, with many of them covered in the logo of some of his favored bands or a form of shirt snark. If there is rain or cold he will counter act them with a hoodie baring a logo of a titan on the left shoulder from his former high school. Accessories that he usually brings along with him everywhere are his Mp3 player, with ear buds in his ears as much as he can, and a black satchel bag that is practically covered in patches from bands, a few flags from countries he visited on vacation, and a few that would be the bag equivalent of bumper stickers.
His hair is kept very short, being a swimmer and all. It doesn’t extend any more then a centimeter out at all times. His face is kinda none descript. He’s not exactly bad looking, but not exactly good looking. If girls were going to give his face a score it’d be a 6.5 on average. Build wise he’s lanky and lean, again being a swimmer. He’s got long legs and arms that helped him in his sport of choice.

But inside. He’s not exactly a softy but he’s a solid guy. He spent time being the glue for his swim team helping out other people and always being willing to pick up inebriated team mates to get them home, never saying no to helping others practice, and always offering encouragement often coming side by side with sarcasm. Which is actually part of his personality naturally. So he’s a good guy, but will mock you in that way that is him attempting to show affection. If he actually doesn’t like you he just will pretend you don’t exist.

Bo was born in a hospital in Los Angeles, but spent much of his time growing up in the city of San Fransico. His father was the oldest son of a third generation Japanese family, while his mother is the youngest daughter of a fourth generation Chinese family. The couple met in college, he was studying business, she was going for marine biology. They had a classic cute meets cute and fell in love in the junior year, stayed together till 26 and then got hitched. Three years later they had there first. Kathy being a bit of a nutty crunchy decided to name him after her rarely visited home land so Bo Shiratori was named.
Growing up in San Fran was interesting. Not exactly rich snobby kids, but he was defiantly upper middle class. Dad had managed to be a mid manager in a car company and was doing whell. He went to public school, for the sake of getting socialized and did ok. He was a solid B student never much trouble and had a group of friends. Parents never really had to worry about him other then a few fights with his little sister when she came a long a bit before his thirteenth birthday.
His main claim to fame in school was being one of the best swimmers on the team. Guy took to the water like he had gills. So he had his nitch for middle school and into high school. Until his dad got a promotion. A VP for the home branch, in Japan. The family needed to move to Tokyo which was a big deal to Bo. Not on the language barrier, mom had been all about how being American meant keeping you’re cultural identity on top of the whole American identity so April and Bo were fluent, it was more at 16 being told that you needed to move from the school you had been in, all your friends, and pretty much everything you ever knew. He defaulted to teenage sullen faster then you can say “cheer up emo kid.”
The move was happening if he wanted it or not so the best he could manage was this deal. Until 18 he lived under their rules, which meant he needed to move along and go to school in Japan. After he turned 18, he could move back home, live with an uncle and aunt and go to college in the states. Which was the best he could do but wouldn’t be his only firm of teenage rebellion. Second he step foot off the plane he looked into AT. It hadn’t been his thing in the states but it was big here. Plus it would piss off his parents since it was often associated with kids staying out all night and getting into trouble. He spent the money he had been saving up for a car on getting himself a pair of ‘em and then well he started training with them on the streets.

Bo just skated down and back stopping every ten feet or so to drop a can forming a nice little line of cans empty cans of soda. The air was nice and warm so he would normally be in shorts and a t-shirt, but with what he was going to try he had decided it might be best to keep as much fabric as possible between his legs and arms and the and the concrete just in case the two decided that they needed to get acquainted. So he was dressed in cargo pants and long sleeve shirt. After dropping 10 cans he skated back to where he started minus 20 feet.
Bo looked left, right, up, and down to make sure the odd of someone else coming in and getting in his way were limited. He really really didn’t want to accidentally take out a bunch of people just crossing through the parking lot. Cause with his luck it would either be a bunch of kids and he would feel very very bad, or they would be a number of people who would be willing and able to knock the hell out of him. “All clear” he thought to himself as he did his second scan of the area.
“One for the money,” he started in English as he lifted up his right foot and turned off the lock on that skate. “Two for the show,” he repeated the process with his left foot. “Three to get ready” Bo now brought up his wrist watched and clicked the mood button a few times to turn it to the stop watch mood. He took a deep breath before the final line of the well known quatrain, “And four to go,” with that one he started kicking the ground with all his strength and pressed the button on his watch to start it keeping track of time.
His course was set up to be a salaam course. Right now Bo was pretty good at going fast, but stupid law of inertia was getting him down. He needed to master how to make those really quick turns. Coming up to the first can he turned left, brought up his right skate and placed it in front of the left one to create a line for him to follow that cut between the two cans while he leaned towards the can to put his center of gravity in a place to keep him from flying off. The processes was repeated with each can until the tenth one had passed and he engaged in a spin stop to get rid of all his momentum with out kidding across the ground. Once he was sure he wasn’t going to fall over dizzy he looked at his watch. Only took 7.31 seconds. “That’s Good?” Bo asked himself. He was used to knowing how his swim times were but this was sprinting and he hadn’t exactly figured out how AT times were.
He skated back and looked at the ground around the cans, at each can about a foot out from it was a bit of wheel marks on the ground where he skidded just a bit. Which again he didn’t was good or not for cutting back. So the only real way to find out was to try again. Bo lightly kicked himself to the 20 foot mark, reset his watch, and started again. The next hour was spent attempting to cut down that time. On the fifth attempt he attempted to cut it too close and spilled out rolling a good five feet, but then quickly got up and went back to start again with a few scrapes on his shirt and pants. By the end of this attempt he had managed it down to 6.20 which was at least something.
