A-T Information: Right now Usui uses the basic AT's...they have no stat boosts or particular characteristics...however, I suppose this is the place to say they're bright orange, with black and white decorations, including the white silhoettes of pterodactyls. The bottom is made of black rubber, and the wheels are white and orange striped. They aren't custom-made; rather, they were just very large manufactured kids AT's. There's probably a million of them floating around, but Kozakura treats them as unique.
LOOKS
http://img128.imageshack.us/img128/3007/hjmmmmyw6.jpg Hahaha...my lame anatomy XD !
Eye Colour: Hazel (Blue with brown rings.)
Hair Colour: Brown (Hangs just beyond her shoulders.)
Skin Tone: Pale/Fair
Height/Weight: 5'8"/125lbs.
Blood-type: AB
Overall Appearance: Usui is very laid-back about her style and appearance. Her body is slim and she has a good figure; She doesn't have a ridiculously ideal build, but she still retains nice curves and proportions. She wears whatever is comfortable; Typically, she wears dress pants that are either black or dark-colored with pin-stripes. The bottoms are usually worn out from AT practice, but she leaves them be as that gives the pants, 'character.' She has an equal amount of short- and long-sleeved shirts, but more often goes long-sleeved since she is easily chilled from her bad circulation. (Unless she's training, she wears two pairs of socks, so that she doesn't freeze all day.) The colors for her shirts vary, but more often she looks like she's celebrating Halloween, since she carries an abundance of black and orange shirts, then wears black dress pants. Sometimes she'll forget to wash her laundry, and appears in the odd blue-jeans. She absolutely abhors accessories, so she never wears jewelry, even on special occassions.
She is often seen with a handbag that contains all of her writing materials and perhaps a good book. Because it's a mail carrier-type, she had to learn to balance herself while riding her AT's. The bag itself is bright orange with black and white stripes and symbols. The inside of it has white cloth with orange polka dots. She doesn't attach pins to it, but she has scribbled, 'Carpe diem,' in latin cursive across the cover with a black permanent marker.
Her medium hair length makes her hair fray outwards naturally at the tips. The left half is longer, with an orange streak and slight wave at the front. Her part is regular--straight down the middle. Kozakura wears slim glasses with gold rims, but often forgets them, since she only recently discovered she didn't have 20/20 vision. Her philosophy is that she has perfect vision, and everyone else simply has superior. Afterall, she only needs them to read distant objects--objects designed for those of superior sight to read. And it's not her fault that her eyes aren't superior.
PERSONALITY
Likes:
Rainy days, cloudy days, storms, and wind.
Spicy cooking, mostly Thai.
Going for rides just for the fun of it.
Mythology.
Paleontology.
Reading books full of thought (they don't have to be long).
Dislikes:
Childish people (the kind that think they're not childish and are, in fact, grown.)
Tomatoes and any food they come in.
Socializing.
Being contained indoors (she's slightly claustrophobic).
Hobbies:
AT, of course.
Writing stories upon stories while whittling away time in school.
Reading.
Fears: Usui fears tornadoes and becoming restrained by buildings. She also fears being hated by everyone. However, rather than actively fearing them, she chooses to deny them and pursue them--ensuring that she could face a storm without panicking. She embraces and appreciates her fears. She doesn't know where these fears come from; But she suspects old 90's movies frightened her as a child and she simply carries these fears forward. As for her small claustrophobia--she's usually unaware of her surroundings, but if someone reminds her that she's in an inclosed area, she is filled with the need to leave. This is a controllable and conscious fear; The reason for it is her love of the outside inspirations (wind, wildlife, et cetera).
Goals: Usui hopes to become an excellent writer one day. She pursues the best stories, but does so in secret, hoping to reveal something great one day. She expects to eventually meet one of her old writing buddies from America on the bookshelves, though this might just be a fantasy.
Overall Personality: Kozakura is unsociable, preferring to be alone in a crowd, and feeling quite comfortable that way. She is a master of small-talk when a situation makes conversation necessary, but she avoids personal topics and makes these conversations as short as possible. She's quite polite, especially to strangers, and is slow to lose a formal disposition with associations. She has an excellent sense of sarcastic humor, but because of her nature, she is often taken seriously.
HISTORY
Birthplace: Phoenix, Arizona (moved to Tokyo at a later time.)
Birthdate: February 13th.
Birthtime: 4:56 PM
Parents: Usui Zentaro, Emily Usui
Siblings: Single Child
Overall History: Kozakura originally lived in Phoenix, Arizona. She attended a school where she and her friend, Deborah, would write all sorts of stories together about mystical worlds they could only dream about. Unfortunately, her mother, Emily, was found cheating on her father, Zentaro. They divorced, and Emily insisted the Kozakura go to Japan at least until she was grown--to learn of the culture her father came from. Before leaving, Kozakura made a challenge to Deborah--one day they would compete, to write the greatest story of all time--and battle eachother on the bookshelves in the future. With this, Kozakura left behind America at the small age of seven.
Entering Japan, Zentaro was surprised to find that his parents were struggling along. Although Japan has an excellent economy, the storms of a recent year had left this particular family a little money-short. Their home was taken by a mudslide, and they now manage living in a small apartment. Zentaro moved in to help them get back on their feet, and eventually achieved a job as a reporter for a small journalism team. Even after moving into a similar apartment for themselves, Kozakura and Zentaro still visit their old home often, enjoying the company of his parents.
Kozakura has no job of her own, but she does small jobs on and off and treats her family to small luxuries, since all she buys are cheap notepads and pens. Her handbag and AT's were a christmas present from her father--and indeed, they were a set. Although she originally couldn't use them, she now uses them as a tool to help her think out new stories as she rides. She treasures them nearly as much as her journals.
EXTRA
Extra: She can speak simple English, but probably gained a terrible accent in her past ten years.
Roleplay Sample:
Kozakura strapped her orange AT's on with speed, grabbing her handbag and escaping out the door into the cold rain that had started. She whispered quiet thanks for her rainproof bag and skidded along lightly over the thin layer of water. Thunder crackled not far away, and the girl smiled to know that in these AT's, she could perhaps run past the rain to the location of that thunder in an instant. She was glad her father had bought these on a whim, all for her happiness. Cruising in the shopping district of town, she noticed yet another team sticker plastered across the pavement. New to her, however, was the crisp laminated paper taped nearby.
Usui gently took the flyer off the wall--the rain had softened the stick of the tape, and so it came off easily--and read it out of curiousity. Parts war, blah blah, teams such and such--all recognizable and reoccuring patterns she saw again and again. Then again, what would happen if she joined a team? She sighed, threw the pamphlet back on the wall, and flew ahead on her wheels. She knew better than to get involved in stuff like that. Then again--a small grin escaped--she could get an excellent story from characters like those.
