GTA is always good. I never get tired of all those cheats and beating innocent criminals to a pulp. Looking forward to GTA IV. ^^

Nothign special IMO, i mean i had more fun playing like my DS than that game, honestly its like a sports game; the same idea and gameplay rehashed and flogged, i believe that they are just flogging the dying horse

The graphics are lush, the city feels alive and the cinematics are very well done. It certainly helps to bridge the gap that video games should be considered on the same level as movies and music.
For me though, it's just not my sort of game. Strange.

Never seen so many GTA haters.......but I must admit Liberty City is not like San Andreas. I never liked that city......the multi-player kicks much ass & the realism of the game seems to act as a double-edged sword. (I like it personally)
Next up: Star Wars Force Unleashed & Resistance 2:)^^

gta is great but its the same thing every single time so i think after ppl beat story mode the game will be left in the dust unless they like the online play

plus its hardly a story there is like no character development or anything, its just you, a gangster killing people and making money, the only reason its soo popular is cause its fun to shoot random people and kill hookers etc, the addition of the multiplayer was a good idea i think, i dont know much about it but i think that allowing people to create "Gangs" would be cool and they could like have stats and put hits on other players' heads and stuff

GTA IV is fun. Those people whom I have seen critizicing it's rather repetitive gameplay turned into fans after they played it once.
It's a sandbox. Everything (nearly) is possible. This makes it fun.
Kill someone? Crash a car into him, snipe him, strangle him, beat him, fire a tank shell at him, burn him. There's so many ways to complete a single mission.

which is why idiots with low attention spans and that dont appreciate games for the finer things think, cause they keep getting interested with all the ways they can do something, they dont realize that any good game is like that but requires at least a bit of though power

The game was fun, I guess. But it wasn't a bloody 10 Outstanding fun like IGN said. Bugs and popups were present around the game, and some of the missions seem really pointless. I mean, go out on a date to bowling? What the hell? Sure you guys may think that bowling and going to the internet and playing darts is fun, but seriously, it's like trying to play another life of yours or something in a game. And it's not that thats a bad thing, if ther things you do is actually fun, but some of them were really trivial and redundant.
And San Andreas had a better city. San Andreas had more cars as well. I liked the stats building of San Andreas, not much, but it was I guess a nice implementation, but they removed it from GTAIV. But seriously? Best game? While I haven't really looked through the games this winter (for me) Metal Gear Solid 4 for me so far could challenge that. Best Game of all time? NAY.

True but in order for people to take you somewhat seriously, it helps if you don't present yourself in a perpetually moronic fashion.
idiots with low attention spans
Yeah......glass house and all that.

You know, if you thought some more about it you'll realise that some missions require lots of thinking, like which is the best way, which will not alert the guards, etc etc. It actually uses even more brains than most of the other games, which you just hack and slash and kill and hail it as a brainy game.

To be honest with you, I've only played the game for an hour. I don't really have the game, so I can't really say anything about the storyline or missions because the only mission I did was when you had to take some girl up to the bowling alley and then had to raid an apartment.... or something. So maybe there would be like some awesome stuff later in the game or something, but while I was pretty impressed at first, the excitement of the game seriously died down after 20 or so minutes.

What makes this game a 10 is its detail! So much is going on that has nothing to do with you at all, it just fills like your in a real city.
The game doesn't start off with a bang like San Andreas, but instead it lets you dig your own grave. (via you being betrayed) The game's story/action doesn't pick up until you get to the mission "Russian Revolution".
If you haven't played this game for more than 30 days, (in-game time) then you have no say in this.
Oh yeah, San Andreas had three large cities to make just one along with a desert & countryside & small towns, whereas (sp) the new Liberty city is just one with bridges & districts surrounded by water.
And who in the hell said this was the best game of all time? Thats just fucking stupid.
