They are plain white except for the lightblue accentuations around the ankle and a lightblue pattern on their sides. The pattern on the outer sides is shaped like a branch with several small cherry blossoms on it. The wheels are plain blue.

» Maki's appearance changed quite a bit as she became a rider, leaving her life as tuner behind her. The most conspicuous change is the change of her hairstyle. Becoming a rider Maki decided to cut her long blonde hair [which originally reached down to her hips], due to the fact that it might be bothering while riding. The change of her hairystle also symbolizes that she has closed the chapter of life where she had been a tuner. Becoming a rider, Maki also replaced her beloved Visual Kei outfit with a pair of black baggy pants, a darkblue top and a black tie. She is often seen with a bright smile on her face and her teasing nature is almost being worth to be called "famous". She has finally managed to recover from the tough time she had to go through and is now happier than ever before, enjoying every bit of her new life.

»The most important things to Maki are her friends and her A-T's. She is often met with a bright smile upon her face, skating through the landscape. She has been rather conservative in the past and was stuck on the ground as a tuner, relying on others, thinking of them as her wings, convinced that she wasn't able to fly on her own. She has become more lively since a friend of her showed her that she had wings on her. Now aware of her wings Maki began to break the chains that had enclosed her. To her the sky is endless and doesn’t know any limits and that’s the reason why Maki dislikes rules and doesn’t care if she breaks them since they just keep creating limits. Maki would never let a friend down, even if she might get hurt as a consequence. Her curiosity and ambitions to reach and explore the skym keep pushing her, inciting her to go to her limits.

:x: «First Chapter: Prologue» :x:

Maki was born in Cologne, where her parents met each other. After living in Germany for about 9 years, they moved back to Tokyo due to some huge government projects her father was entrusted with. The first years in Japan really were hard for Maki because she wasn’t able to adapt to the new surroundings. The language barrier wasn’t that much of a problem but the kids at school who bullied her because of her origins were. Spending most of the time by herself, her passion for mechanics was born. At the age of 16 Maki and her mother got abandoned by her father, who fell in love with some local model. Maki who just had managed to find friends, started to close herself in again. One day when she missed the train, she heard some strange sounds as she waited at the station. They noises came closer and closer until they revealed a young boy using A-T’s. She had seen the advertisment on the internet for so many times but up till now it never really caught her attention. But seeing this boy riding the walls and other obstacles, flying through the station really fascinated her. The next day she took all the money she had taken aside and went to a second hand shop to buy some pair of A-T. She didn’t have much money, so all she could buy were some worn out and messed up A-T’s. She sat down and started working on her A-T’s as soon as she got home. Her passion burned up as the parts got smaller and the work got tougher. After spending every spare minute on the reparation, she was able to fix them in just one week. Now that she had a working pair of A-T, she couldn't wait to learn riding. But it wasn't that simple, she almost bailed every minute and came to the conclusion that repairing the A-T's had made much more fun than riding them.

:x: «Second Chapter: Love» :x:

The new school year had just begun when Maki encountered a young rider called Sousuke Rai (http://sorascans.com/forums/showthread.php?t=358) as she tried to help some stranger who got menaced by thugs. At first the two teenagers couldn’t stand each other due to some misunderstanding when the two of them first encountered. But time passed and after encountering a few more times both of them realized that they had fallen in love with each other. Being a couple Maki became Rai’s tuner, feeling save beneath his wing, not knowing about the secret he held. Spending much time together, it seemed like this dream wouldn’t end. Maki then accidentally found out about the secret Rai had kept from her and the rest of the world. Trying to tune his A-T’s, she wondered about a ”strange sound” and trying to figure what caused it, she came across Rai’s Storm Regalia. Figuring out that her beloved Rai was a King, shocked Maki, since they had sworn to be honest with each other. After hearing the reasons for the concealment Maki promised Rai to be with him forever and together they swore to touch the sky.

:x: «Third Chapter: Isolation» :x:

Maki who had improved and become an E-Class Tuner while being with Rai was suddenly ripped out of her ideal world by her mother, who forced her to go back to Germany together with her. Dragging Maki along without any warning she also prohibited her to contact any of her friends, including her boyfriend: Rai. Maki never got told why exactly she had to leave Japan all of a sudden without being allowed to inform her friends about her departure. In Germany, she became depressed since she missed her friends but even more her beloved Rai. Not touching any A-T’s and hardly eating stuff Maki suffered several months until her mother finally gave in, returning to Japan with her. Her mother never told her why exactly they left like this but Maki is sure that her mother must have had a good reason for her actions.

:x: «Fourth Chapter: Despair» :x:

Returning to Japan Maki met a few of her old friends and had to notice that they had changed since she had left for Germany. Hoping to find back into her old life, Maki returned to school where she also met Rai again. Not knowing how should could explain why she had disappeared like that, Maki tried to act as if she had never left, hoping that Rai would be happy to see her again, willing to listen to her strange sounding story. But her dreams shattered when Rai first ignored her and later on told her that he would break up with her. Losing her beloved boyfriend like this almost pushed Maki to the verge of sanity.

:x: «Fifth Chapter: Jarnt» :x:

Right after Rai had broken up with her, Ragiri Jarnt (http://sorascans.com/forums/showthread.php?t=907), an old friend of Maki, appeared, contributing comfort to the despaired Maki. After meeting by chance again, Jarnt asked Maki to become his tuner since he had seperated himself from his old tuner and was looking for a new one. Maki who still was in despair and felt useless since she had lost her rider, accepted Jarnt’s offer even if he wasn’t the person she had known from the past anymore. She hoped that things might become like they were in her old relationship with Rai and didn’t gave a second thought that she might rush herself into disaster . Blinded by this thought she started tuning the rider of the Bloody Road and built a new pair of A-T’s for him, improving to D-Class. In the meanwhile she met a young tuner called Ragiri Akira (http://sorascans.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1359) who turned out to be a tuner and Jarnt’s younger brother. Creating a tuner team called Souls In Tune together with the young boy Maki fullfilled an old dream. But noticing Jarnt’s true face and suffering from the way the relationship with him had turned out, a desire for liberty began to grow within her.

:x: «Sixth Chapter: Changes» :x:

Not knowing what to do Maki met Kurumi Jiro (http://sorascans.com/forums/showthread.php?t=178), a young boy and also good friend from her past with Rai. After bailing once again and thinking of herself as unable to fly due to the lack of wings, Jiro encouraged her, telling her how to use her own wings instead of relying on the one’s of others like she had done before. Now aware of her wings Maki broke the chains which kept holding her and began to fly for her first time, feeling “true” liberty for the first time in her life. Being carried by the wind Maki thought like she would feel the infinite sky itself, realizing that rules were just limiting the space she had to move in and that she didn’t want to be limited again. She would have never expected flying to be so much different from what she knew from tuning. It awoke a deep, unknown passion within her. In the meantime young girl, called Lilicia, came from Italy to Japan, moving in at Maki’s house due to a student exchange. The foreign girl and Maki became good friends due to both of them being tuner. To repay Jiro for helping her Maki offered him to tune his A-T’s not knowing what would await her. Tuning his A-T’s she once more came across a strange sound which seemed to be some kind of abnormality. Following that sound she unintenionally changed the settings of Jiro’s Regalia, causing her to get drowned within the world of sound. Getting drowned by the overwhelming force of the Regalia, Maki suffered a traumata and started to fear tuning. Since her life as tuner ended like this, Maki asked Lilicia to build a pair of A-T’s for her which would bear her riding without problems

⇓ In Tune ↔ Harmony...

Putting her headset on and closing her eyes, everything suddenly began to fade away and Maki felt like falling. Falling in a place without light, sound, or wind; an empty place. What lasted seconds always felt like hours. The connection finally established and the falling turned into floating. The silence immediately got replaced by a dissonant wave, a muddle of sounds. Different in frequency, wavelength, period, amplitude, intensity, speed and direction. Focusing she tried to find a certain sound. A clear sound, which always made her feel comfortable for some unknown reason and lead to harmony. But it still kept hiding in the dissonant muddle not leaving the slightest trace of it's existence. But Maki knew that it existed. She knew that even the slightest adjustment was able to change the entire world of sound.

It could either clear the mess and reveal the resonance hidden deep within or turn everything upside down and drown her within a seemingly endless ocean of dissonance. Carefully changing the settings of the Wheel Motor everything around her suddenly started moving, vibrating, changing its shape. The change had the same effect as a stone hitting a motionless water surface, crushing it's silence, causing an uproar. Surrounded by thunderous waves of sound Maki focused even harder, trying to resist the storm she had evoked. But deep within that storm, a comforting sound suddenly caught Maki's attention. Even if it had just been a split second, Maki had finally found what she had been searching for.

She had found the tune she needed to unite the sounds and turn them into a symphony. Even if each A-T's symphony was unique, once completed their sound always created this warm and comfortable feeling Maki loved so much. Once again lightly changing the adjustment of the Wheel Motor, Maki caused another storm of sound to rage across the place. It's high pitched dissonances felt disturbing, even painfull but Maki kept her focus on the one sound she desired. Hearing the certain sound again, she immediately reached out her hand, grabbing it, accumulating the settings of the motor. Having the sound of the motor as a guide always made things easier for her.

Even if the most difficult part was done, the sounds still resembled a muddle. Maki now carefully kept changing the adjustment of the Hydraulic Cushion System, until it's sound slowly adapted to the one of the motor, creating a calm duett in the middle of raging dissonant storm. Doing the same thing to the Power Injection System as well as the other parts the dissonance slowly but surely turned into resonance, creating the symphony Maki had been waiting for. It's sound immediately surrounded her and spread through the place, kindly embracing the tuner's body. This was the final moment of tuning, the moment when all the different parts became one, sharing their sound and abilities.

After remaining in this comfortable surrounding for another hour, making sure that everything really was in tune, Maki let herself fall and opened her eyes again. Taking off the headset, canceling the connection to the Air Trecks she let out a light yawn and stretched herself. She loved to get lost in the world of sound, being embraced by a lovely symphony. Looking at Jarnt's new A-T's a bright smile appeared on her face. She was about to add the last details, the "claws" Jarnt wanted as some kind of tribal, when the door of her room suddenly bounced open. Maki startled and confusedly stared at her mother who was standing under the door frame, holding a cup of coffee in her hand.

"Maki, honey, do you know where the phone is?" The phone, a wireless handy like phone, which couldn't be found by a special search tone due to partial damage. Looking at Maki's desk her mother slowly entered the room, not paying attention to the broken down A-T's parts which were scattered on the ground. Maki was unable to react as her mother suddenly stepped on a wheel, twisted her ankle and fell forward, throwing the cup towards Maki's desk. The shocked Maki stared in horror as the cup flew towards Jarnt's new A-T's and the tools upon her desk. The cup luckily missed the desk but the spilled coffee hit her read. "DAMN!" A confused and angry shout intuitionally left Maki's lips as she had to watch how the read got soaked with coffee.

Her mother, who had already gotten back upon her feet approached Maki and put her hand on Maki's shoulder. "I'm sorry my dear. I'm going to replace it! You can go and get a new one, I'll pay for it." A deep sigh escaped Maki's lips. She was angry that her mother broke her read but in the same time she was also relieved that the coffee didn't hit Jarnt's A-T's which were still dismantled. Looking at her mother, Maki quickly stood up and approached the door of her room. "Well I'm going to buy a new one. It's an important part and I don't want to stay without it for too long. I luckily know a place where I can get a new one at a time like this. I'll hurry, so don't worry." Saying this Maki disappeared downstairs. She quickly got some money from her mother's purse, put her A-T's on her feet and left the house, calmly closing the door behind her.

Skating along the sidewalk, Maki couldn't help but look at the sky. It was a beautiful, clear nightsky, filled with stars and a bright moon. The temperature was quite agreeable for this season and Maki hurried down the road, trying to reach the Gran Slum as fast as possible. Her thoughts circled around Jarnt's new A-T's, which had been her masterpieces so far. I wonder if they meet his expectations. I hope he won't be angry that I wasn't able to use parts of his old pair. Maki suddenly got kicked out of her thoughts as a painfull-sounding catscream resounded next to her. Almost losing balance she managed to stop. Turning around she saw a kitten panically running across the street. I wonder what it was that scared her like that... She thouht, letting her gaze wander around, searching for whatever scared the kitten to death.
