ikki wont train why would he train. He is just going to stumble accross some all powerful regalia that somehow was lying around all along. Following that he will go through trails and tribulations towards the gram scale tournment ultimatly fighting and overcoming sora and gensis and sleeping forest crushing everything with his storm road and freeing the sky for all storm riders.

the tropheum competition is basicly a free for all to the top of the tower, because of sleeping forests obvious advantage in those zero gravity areas theyve never had a challenge before...but genesis is full of gravity children too, and then theres ikki :p so there are 4 sides now: SF, Genesis, whoever sides with ikki, and basicly every other B or higher grade AT team

By story do you mean a new story arc for Air Gear, or an entirely seperate manga strip?
I enjoyed this chapter too, it seems good that they haven't fergotten the roots of the series, the lower teams, the journey to learn how to ride and all the other people Ikki and co have met ^^.

Yep! Everything has gone back to the Pre-Genesis story where the team was building up their skills. Which is great because now we can hopefully see the various teams literally fight it out with Koga instead of following Genesis's demands and giving Ikki lame *** tests.

yea, thats very true, but most of the heavy stuff won't really go on till the gram scale tourny actually happens. and theres still alot of time left before that acatully occurs. we'll jsut avhe to wait and see what happens ^_^. maybe kazu will finally be able to handle the flame road and regalia by that time :cool:

Well if u think about it than its obvious that he has a lot more experiance. But what i am thinking about is the fact that ATs prolly came after the first generation grav kids came out of the tower...so that means someone who rode ATs before them can not exist...only in the case if their tower wasnt the first one to operate...

well...the technology for at's was made for the tower, technically there could have been at's before the gravity children left the tropheum, but it wasnt wide spread as it is now...the old guy could have been one of the researchers/engineers who made the AT and/or tropheum and/or gravity children

It was strange Kururu not there cause a minute earlier when ikki was falling from the bike whe was with him till kazu save him and call people out for the meeting.
Another thing is Kazu... I think he is weak, but maybe can 'don't know how' suceed in mastering the flame regalia. Otherwise it wouldn't make much sense, right?
Ikki r0x since always. Ringo has her moments as simca. Now everything is messed up. But I think Kururu will help Ikki with his hurricane regalia and all the things may end at the gram scale.

In terms ikki lost to ringo in their fight.
After all she was in the lead and calling for him who was taking much time to reach her.

But well, we don't know how much power will he have with the new hurricane (storm) regalia. Maybe he can become more powerful than nike and/or sora.

If Sora win and get the sky regalia for himself it'll be good for one thing. The manga will continue for a long time. =)
Otherwise the gram scale may be the finish.

well just by goin off the names(names usually represent what they do anyway) hurricane>everything...a hurricane will destroy everything that gets in its way, so just goin by that ikki's new road will be better than any other, probably even the one windmill regalia...windmill regalia takes the wind and manipulates it into an attack cuz logically speaking thats what a real windmill does :P takes wind and generates it into power, but a hurricane(and possible the hurricane regalia) would be too much wind power for the windmill to handle

Probably after the gramham scale there will be a "liberation" of the gravity children. Ikki has to find and rescue these gravity children and has to go against the whole organization that made the gravity children. dum dum dumdum.

Just like the Devil jump, i can see Ikki getting badly injured while saving the world, and while he's hospitalised then other characters have a mini arc, before then opening up for a new story.

If they want to continue it, basically it would be easy for them to do so.

Well basically there is no real connection between the names and its powers... for egs. the almighty combination of fire and time that created the world (omg what theory is that??! O.o...oh nvm) was not able to overcome one single rider and than it was simply devastated by Sora. And basically the usual way is that the wind supports the fire which we cant see here... So the hurricane road is only as strong as Ikki himself cause it borned from him. The actual meaning could lead to the conclusion is that Ikki now is able to ride even on the storm (stormking) and what Sora's bagram is basically creating was labelled as a storm...which would mean Ikki is now resistant to that (imo).

I think after the gramscale we still might have one story arc.
Because you see I don't really think that the organization that expirementing on Gravity children will be unvalied on the tournament, and what is gravity children itself is still unknown.

Maybe after the tournament end there will be some uber villain show up and take away the sky regalia. O!G couldn't possibly end up the series just right after someone gain the sky regalia and not showing us the true power of the sky regalia

I agree he already stated that but i don't think he won't have any regalia... After all to be a king isn't necessary a regalia? Dispite the fact that he could not need one or to show that kind of thing to all I think not wearing a regalia as a 'king' it would go against all the trophaeum theories and rules.
Well... I don't know... Maybe now could be a time to change things too...
It's something to think about and know in the next chapters (unless you already picked up some spoilers or raws over net).

i think thats just ikki being the pompus brat that ikki is...its really waht makes him a king int aht sense, that very attitude. and if i remeber correctly sora was/is the same why (only sora is a bit more nuts :p)..however i think that ikki will be able to get a regalia using the old bagram cores, but i think that it will be a somewhat different regalia than bagram it self. O!G, might use this to draw upon teh differences between the wing and hurricane road, cuz as of yet we haven't really seen any (and probably won't for a while yet :(). but i think your rigght, Satralis, in that ikki will be a symbol for all stormriders to to be able to reach the sky, but not cuz he won't have a regalia, but because of how he causes the "wind" in everyone to blow, like he did with Simca and Spitfire. he'll them all to see what A.T. is really about :P....or i might just be a romantic :p

There is an infinite amount of ways we can speculate, I'd rather just trust in Oh!G to weave his magic on the future of the manga. IMHO he hasn't failed us so far. Especially in these latest chapters, I'm hooked even more to AG. No matter what spin he throws on the outcome I'll be satisfied.

I have to disagree with that.
The truth up till now is that a storm rider must follow the path of the road he/she wants and when it gets the ability and the opportunity takes the position of king... Another way it's defeating the actual king to become one in his place. And maybe the last way is the way ikki got it, being nominated from nothing as a king of a new road.
But from there I guess there's need of a great amount of training, perseverance and a regalia (of course). As Agito said to Kazu, even not being a king ppl with talent can make flames come out of his AT's.
Obviously Ikki has some great talent, after all he became for an instant the wind king and show us some abilities even without his AT's but not having a regalia doesn't make him true king.
Maybe O!G make an exception now... Who knows!

Since when they fought sabel tigers kazu said that he would be taking a different path than ikki... maybe he was talking about speed that he far away surpasses ikki. In this sense he is a great sucessor for the flame regalia, but he don't have talent 'yet' to handle it.
But like Spitfire was a rider from Genesis, maybe even being king kazu continue being a rider from kogarasumaru...

Well to be a king you clearly have to own at least an infinity atmosphere. It comes before the regalia i think cause Ikki experianced several times the wing roads infinity before he got the Bagram. As of now the hurricane roads infinity atmosphere is unknown and the regalia is still a far away thing considering that the gram scale is coming soon i would guess that he wont get it. And Kururu wont be tuning him since she has this shy attitude (which is cute of course :p), plus Ikki based on whatever reasons has decided that he wont need a reg.
Also its important to notice that even if he is not a king but beats up a king that wont make him less :D on the countrary. If he shows that regs arent necessary to defeat a king than he can end their dominance over the AT world (Ringos fream btw which she cant achieve because...ahh nvm)
And regarding Kazu, he has much more speed than certain kings so the only thing he lacks is technic. Agito has the proper experiance to make the trick but his talent is not for that road which means that even if he got the flame regalia he wouldnt be able to use it better than Kazu...at least less efficiently.

So... I think maybe things will change between Ikki and Kururu... Ringo is getting far away even more since the return of Sleeping Forest and Kururu even with her shy attitude will captivate Ikki (i think already done it a little).

About the regs, well... Ikki has some potential and may be able to show us some good scenes, and maybe can win the gram scale without them...

And Kazu... this one cannot make feel ok about him...
He lacks technic like you said... but lacks talent too...
It seems that the only thing he can do it's run...
Spitfire sure show something when he fought against the takeuchi brothers...
Something that Kazu only dream to do...
