A-T information: Her ATs are customised with the Thunder regalia. It rises all the way up to her knees held together by ivory white laces. Black titanium metal plates surround the entire structure to conduct the excess charges away from her wheels. The base is a silver with the Roman numbers from 1-12 running along the entire base. The Thunder Regalia have been tuned by her brother Yui, and are currently a bright yellow with blue streaks.

Her facial features may not be perfect, but at least they match her face. Delightfully cat-like eyes sit just above her high cheek bones, as her button-like nose rests in the middle separating left from right. Slightly pouty lips complete her entire face, and is sometimes glossed over with shimmering lipgloss if she can be bothered. Chika has a wide grin with a pearly white set of teeth, since she for some reason enjoys going to the dentist for checkups every 6 months. She has double eyelids, which is not very common for a Japanese girl much like herself. Her hair has no fixed parting, but if you must ask, its on the left side. She sometimes thinks that her parents are not true Japenese, and emigrated here from a Western country, but at least that just makes her look more exotic. Chika has no tattoos at the moment, but she's hoping to get the words "Tonare on the back of her neck, which her parents would probably never allow. Her ears are currently home to three piercings, one on the right and two on the left.
With outstanding orange hair paired off with equally bright orange irises, Chika would probably be the most outstanding person in school. Which can be a bother from time to time. At least she has gotten used to it, and not many people actually pick on her anymore for that. She used to be mistaken for a boy when she was younger, because her bodily curves were not that defined, but mainly because of her hair cut. While her hair still retains its former style, short and spunky, it has undergone some modifications. With the back being slightly longer now, it gives her a more feminine look in addition to her straight cut bangs. Though her hair is always seen in a huge mess, because Chika always wakes up late in the morning and is more concern about reaching school on time, than brushing her hair. Bedhand would best describe her current look. Chika thought if she was going to make a fashion statement, she might as well go all out. Dying her hair a lighter shade of orange, than its original color, it now complements her orange irises.
Those orange irises are still a talking point when she meets new people, since its not a natural color. No amount of explaining from Chika can convince them that her eyes are of the original color. She rather not poke her eyes to prove to them that she's not wearing contacts so she just shrugs it off when they start pestering her for a better reason than just "Oh its natural." When she was four, she had undergone a major operation, which the doctors assume was the underlying reason why the color of her eyes changed. It was originally a shade of brown mixed in with some orange, but during her recovery, they "lightened" to become the color they are today. Doctors dignosed that it was because some of the pigmentation in her irises was lost during the surgery. But oh well, all the better for Chika because she loves the color they are today. Although, she still has a wide collection of different colored contacts, just to wear on occasion if she feels like it. Her favourite colors are the Purple and Green contacts.
Chika's uniform can be described with one word: Messy. She takes more pride in getting her AirTrek laces done than wearing her school uniform. When she's wearing the spring-summer uniform, her top button is never buttoned because she complains its far too hot for that. Her tie is rarely ever pulled up to its expected height, always being left half way there. As for her skirt, even though she hates wearing them, if she must she will wear them extremely short. As for her autumn-winter uniform, she tends to try and put her own flair to it, since the students are allowed to wear whatever outer wear they want, so long as they are wearing the school blazer, shirt, and skirt for that season. She mix and matches, sometimes wearing a vest over her shirt, or a pullover if its really cold, though her skirt will remain at the same length. She preferes to wear thigh length tight black stockings, but she also has a pair of orange leg warmers. Her teachers are always pressing her to dress better or else she'd be put in detention, but they have never gone through with their threats just yet.
Though her style varies a lot, its usually pretty constant when it comes to riding. She did not have much of a choice really, since she usually had to wear that awful looking body suit. Even if it was made to be tight-fit to her body, those metal plates that run around her legs were so hard to cover up with. It was a onyx colored suit, with white trimmings going around the entire body. Additionally, Chika wears a pure ivory-white mask which has lightning details on the left side of it, while the words "Tonare" are bolded out in black. However, Chika tends to defy the need to wear it, since she noticed that when she did not activate her Regalia, the body suit was actually of no use. Hence, if it comes to riding without the body suit, Chika tends to choose either really loose clothes for comfort or tight-fit clothes to show off her figure. Ripped jeans are definitely her favourite, but shorts works fine too. Gloves are must for her, and she usually wear a orange colored fingerless gloves with black trimmings around it, on it there are also words which read: Kick ass. Orange tinted goggles are normally placed on top of her head or if its really windy or dry Chika would wear it to protect her eyes.
The ring from her previous boyfriend, Satoshi, has already been discarded into the depths of the Tokyo Ocean. She previously wore a chrome ring with black trimmings around it, that had a Jasper stone embedded in the centre, which was given to her by Yuu. Chika has now placed it on a chain, which she wears around her neck at all times, as she treats it like a lucky charm of sorts. As been repeated earlier, Chika is not a big fan of girly clothes, preferring to fill her cupboard up with jeans (mostly skinnys and ripped) and shorts of various lengths. With a wide collection of shirts, Chika is always spoilt for choice. She usually prefers to spend her money on shirts than jeans because they always get trashed once she puts on her ATs. Her secret stash of jackets are kept specially in plastic covers, as she adores her jackets. Chika's favourites would be: the pure white jacket which ends around her tighs, and has a fluffy white hoody, the onyx jacket, which has multiple straps all over it and a simple orange jacket with black lines criss-crossing all over the jacket.
She is currently in Crimson Oath, and has an onyx black jacket with the CO emblem drenched in red on the back, adorned with numerous blood splatters. All team members are required to wear Red contacts, which she already has in possession. Chika usually wears the jacket with dark colored clothes to match, and is always seen with her orange tinted goggles and fingerless gloves. A small emblem pin is placed on the collar of her jacket as a mark of her team.

Chika is an average girl, living in an average family, leading an average life..wait that's not correct. Her life is anything but ordinary, and her personality is even more intriguing. The girl with bedhead hair was a whacky one. Her larger than life personality complements her nature well, as she is always ready to make new friends. She opens up almost instantly and it is not in her nature to sugar coat the truth. Brutally honest is she when she speaks with people, it may something come across as arrogance, but it always proves to be false. Chika was brought up by her aloof mother Renka, who was from an well to do family. Honesty was the guiding principle in her family, and Chika was taught to do the same. Which was probably why it has influenced her character up bringing a great deal. As they say, good moral values should be taught from a young age for a good upbringing of character.
From a young age however, Chika has a really short attention span for almost anything, and if she's completely absorbed in a thought it would be pretty hard for her to notice anything or anyone around her. For example, in class she's normally found either slumped over on her desk or spacing out behind a book either in thought or sleep. Her teachers have always had a problem with her and would normal A) throw dusters at her to get her attention B) smack her hand with a ruler or C) shout across the classroom. It was not like Chika was failing badly in class or anything, but they just seemed to get a kick out of it, or that's what Chika presumes.
Also her fiercely loyal nature could either be a good thing or it could cause her downfall. Chika simply refuses to believe that any of her trusted good friends would ever betray her, since she would never ever do the same to them. It was not in her blood, she just could not bring herself to back stab her friends. Even if at gun point, she still would not do it, not in this lifetime. However if she does find out that anyone has betrayed her, she would definitely snap and go and confront them, not caring to reason things out at all. Which is probably a bad thing, because she does not listen to her head and goes more with her heart. This makes her really rash and somethings causing her to make immature decisions which she will regret forever.
One can possibly say she suffers from chronic mood swings, and not just because its that time of the month. For example she could be dead serious during a fight, but once its ended its like an "off" switch was turned on and she goes back to her bubbly and friendly nature. So its hard to ever see her mad at someone for long periods of time, because she rarely ever held a grudge. Unless like it was stated early, because she was betrayed, then even if the person grovelled and begged at her feet she would not relent. Certainly its true that Chika cares too much for her comrades than herself, since she would do anything to ensure their safety. It did not matter if she got injured too, so long as both came out safe and sound. Superficial wounds could be healed, but if a life was lost it could never be returned..
Oh yes and one more thing, just make sure you do not steal or try to take her food from her, she'll kill you ;D

They are now currently are based in Japan before they were based in their USA branch. The headquaters mainly deals in the development of AirTreks, while the branches are talent-spotting companies. They scout for fresh blood to take part in the sporting world of ATs, or so they say. Sponsors are given to these individuals to train for the upcoming "battle".
Raiko: is the clown of the family. Raiko has dark brown hair, that has been cut in a fashion forward hair cut. He stands at 186cm, a towering height, and wears half rimmed square glasses. His eyes are a dark orange, probably why Chika has her orange eyes. He has an air of childishness about him. You could say he was like the father from "Bleach", one minute he could be all serious and next he would be clinging onto you. Chika absolutely adores him, but only when he's not acting like a kid, which is actually in a sense never. He has coined a nickname for her when she was a mere child, but it has stuck with her even till now. "Bean-chan" is how Chika is affectionately called at home, something she dreads hearing but has learnt to live with it. Not many people know of this name, probably except Yuu.
The story behind this name was that when Chika was young, she was a really short girl and her father seeing this, called her "Bean-chan". His childish nature is a polar opposite to how he is when dealing with work or serious situations. He can be calmed, composed and serious when the situation calls for it. Raiko is feared in his company, and no one would dare to tread on his feet. His company actually the pioneers developers of Air Treks, and has now currently has an international branch that continually searches for young talents to use their products. He has his owns a pair of custom ATs, which he doesnt use unless completely necessary.
Renka:
From her surname it was clear that Renka Seyers was not entirely Japanese, her father being a European while her mother Japanese. Her parents' marriage was an arranged one between wealthy familes to concentrate their power. Luckily for Renka, her parents had known each other since they were kids, and were more or less best friends. Even though they did not love each other, they were content with having each other's company. Renka was an accident, since both agreed never to have children. Renka, being born into such a family was forcefully bred into a high class young lady. Her mother had undergone the same 'training' as Renka, and it pained her to see the little girl suffer. Renka had to take numerous Japanese traditionally classes, such as tea ceremony, flower arrangement, causing never to have a proper childhood. She had to grow up in an instant, which caused her to form an aloof nature around her as protection.
Being so surpressed in her household, it later caused Renka to rebel. She picked up tuning which was not very common back then, since ATs were just being introduced. Naturally she learnt how to use ATs too, and never felt more free. She met him when she was working for his company, in which he spilled a cup of coffee on her papers. Renka gave him a complete dressing down, only to find out he was the son of the owner of the company. However they did immediately click, and Raiko asked her out and the rest is history. After some time, Renka chose to become his tuner, despite her love for riding. They made an incredible pair, and even started the company with her parent's backing (which was by no means easy to get). Whenever there is trouble in the household, Renka would always be responsible to clear it up. She does have a childish side, which she supposedly picked up from Raiko. Whenever she sees cute boys she would swoon wildly, and appear almost child-like in her choice of words. (Example can be taken when she first met Yuu.)
Renka has appearance of a Eurasian, although she looks alot more like her mother when it comes to facial features. Her bright red hair which falls below her shoulders and curls at the ends, comes from her father who was a redhead too; including her eyes which are a piercing emerald green just like her father's. She should definitely thank her father for giving her her height too, since her mother was a most petite lady; Renka thus teeters at a height of 168cm which is pretty tall for most women in Japan. Renka is definitely a fashionista, loving to doll herself up for any simple occasion. Her closet it stuffed full of branded clothes, designer shoes and handbags and one of a kind dresses. Renka never holds back when it comes to dressing up in the latest fashions of the season. She takes pride in her collection which has already taken up a space of 2 rooms (even after extensions her closet is not big enough by the way XD). However Renka does tend to dress really simply when she's at home, saying that its too much off a chore to look nice in her own home.

Yui:
When he was young, Yui always got what he wanted since Renka always gave in to him, as such he was a spoilt brat. He resorted to crying his lungs out if he did not get the attention he wanted, prompting Chika to immediately roll her eyes. Though their relationship is better now, their exchanges always involve some form of sarcasm, almost taunting each other at times.
He is the most annoying person beside her father to Chika. He is one year younger than her, which makes him 16. Yui takes after Renka, unlike Chika who takes after Raiko. Yui has green eyes like Renka, although his are a mix of a darker shade of green. He is a redhead like Renka too, but has recently added streaks of darker brown into his hair, claiming that it makes him look more "cool", which Chika finds hilarious. Yui lets his bangs hang messily over the front of his face, while the rest of his hair is fairly short which he spends ages styling every morning. He's almost a good head taller than Chika, standing at a height of 181cm, he's almost the same height as Raiko. Currently, he is attached to some girl, whose name eludes Chika, since he's always changing partners.
In school he's known as Casanova, and at home he's known as the Crybaby to Chika, since when he was young he used to cry alot. Yui also has a pet cat which has chestnut fur paired off with bright yellow eyes, which he has affectionately named "Chu". Yui is not officially part of the Tuning group, but he does part-time Tuning for Chika, and he actually is quite good at it, in fact Chika's ATs are maintained by Yui. He usually scolds Chika for not taking care of her ATs, but ends up getting scolded by Chika, since she older than him after all. He gets his tuning talents from Renka, who used to be a tuner for Raiko.

As a child, Chika was adored by her parents, especially Raiko. She has always been a daddy's girl, the apple of his eye and so on. Probably because, she was the first born and also because Raiko was very protective of her. He still thinks that she is too young to be the Thunder queen, but it something that he has to live with. Chika was never exposed to the wonders (horrors) of AirTrek, even though her parents were directly in contact with their manufacture. Her brother Yui was born by accident, since Renka never wanted to have a second child. Some of Renka's favour went to Yui, since he closely resembled her. Since he was pampered by Renka, he developed a tendency to be a cry-baby, since she always gave in to his tantrums. Chika slightly resented that, but at least she was older than him and could bully him if she wanted.
She did have an incident when she was four at the beach. Chika was left to wander off on her own, while her parents were busy tending to Yui who was sobbing as usual. As she walked towards the water's edge, the under currents pulled her in, and she was almost swept away. Luckily her father saved her, although she was unconscious and had to be rushed to his private medical centre that was under his company. Chika had to go through extensive surgery, some of which included experimental techniques, her life was assured but at what cost. Chika has no recollection of this, and her parents have yet to tell her the truth about the procedures behind the surgery. She lived a normal life, but her parents were told by their head scientist and doctor, that it may have side-effects later on in her life, it may come suddenly, if a "trigger" was present. It has yet to fully manifest itself, but on several occasions has hinted at its awakening.
When she was the age of 11, she discovered a pair of AirTreks in her parents room, which were oh so carelessly left on their bed. It also just so happened that it was in her size, so Chika slowly slipped her feet into the boots. As she laced them up, she tried standing up, almost falling but she managed to keep her balance. Sneaking out of the house, when she was supposed to be studying, Chika got her first taste of the world of AirTreks. How glorious was it, the feeling was unlike anything she had ever felt before, even those huge rollercoasters could not give her such an adrenaline rush. She tore through the skys, almost in trance, as the world around her was a great whir of mixed colors. At that time, AT was not widely released to the world yet so she was lucky because if it was now, she would have been ripped to shreads by the vicious riders that claim that they are stormriders. When Chika came home, she was surprised that her parents were not waiting up for her. Perhaps they did not notice she was gone was what she thinking, and she quietly slipped into her room with her ATs.
Her parents were all to sure of the reality that they were exposing their eldest and most precious to the trecherous world of ATs, but they had no choice. The head scientist and doctor who had performed her surgery back then, made sure that she would be their first test subject for the new age AirTreks. And the events just fell in place for them, and hence Chika was made to test these ATs. Raiko and Renka felt so guilty that they began leaving for overseas meetings and conferences, leaving Chika to fend for herself and look after Yui. Chika never resented them for that, she was, however, thankful instead. She was able to grow and mature much faster than her peers, as she went through much on her own. Plus, she even learned how to cook, not well, but at least it was edible. ATs were being introduced to the world then, since her successful test that very night, and Chika was fascinated. Most of her allowance went to buying new AT parts and forcing Yui to learn how to tune from scatch.
When she first started middle school, she was always known to be the dork, always cramming in her books if she was not out skating on her ATs. Puberty was officially making sport of her, as she was the oddball that stood out from the rest of the crowd. She was much taller than her classmates at that time, and the acne on her face did not help either. Luckily for her, back then her hair was really long so she was able to hide behind those long bangs of hers. No one saw those orange irises of hers though, which was such a shame. The only comfort she had was skating, so at least her time in middle school was not that bad. And one other thing, her previous boyfriend, Himura Satoshi was there to make it things slightly better in a way.
Their meeting was by mere chance, considering they were both from different clicks in the school. Chika was actually hiding in the bathroom cubicle, because her books were just thrown out of the window into the rain by her fellow "classmates". It was not like she was sobbing her guts out or anything, but she was definitely crying a little. She did not want to be labelled as the class dork anymore, was what she was thinking at that time. Standing up abruptly, she stormed out of the cubicle, to find that she was not actually in the correct bathroom. Satoshi was washing his hands at the bathroom sink when he saw Chika standing right behind him. Her eyes were of course swollen from her crying, and she was already embarrassed as it is and quickly ran out from the bathroom. Her heart racing as she sprinted down the halls, she felt a warm hand grab hers, stoppping her in her tracks.
"Hey why were you crying?", were his exact words that she can still remember till this day. Their small little conversation by the corridor lead to other events, and eventually he asked her out. They were inseparable, puppy love if one would call it such. It was obviously not to last, such love was just a superficial one, infatuation perhaps. Chika was only attracted to him because he was all that she ever wanted to be, popular, out-going and all that jazz that she was not. But things were never meant to be like that, all good things would have to be taken away from the selfish. One day while Chika was passing by the East Side park while coming back from AT practice, she saw Satoshi and another girl at a park bench. At first she did not suspect anything, however with her curiousity piqued, she went for a closer look. She trusted Satoshi, he would never cheat on her, he couldn't, he wouldn't. However, when she saw Satoshi kissing the girl, who was her best friend Yumi, no less, Chika screamed. It was the first time she ever felt this horrible, and it was all because of a jerk like him. To make matters worse, he even spat at her feet, criticising her for all the things that he hated about her.
"You're disgusting and such a bore. You're clingy, and never gave me any breathing room. I only put up with you because you're the smartest one in our class. Get lost!" Satoshi said before resuming his make out session with Yumi. Yumi, where would she start. She did nothing to stop Satoshi, and even relented to his advances in front of Chika. As their make out session got more heated, Chika could not watch anymore, and she basically just snapped. Pulling Satoshi's hair, she dragged him away from Yumi. Using the power of her ATs she slammed him up against a tree. "So I'm despicable?! I am going to make you eat your words!" Chika repeatedly pounded him with his ATs, till Yumi ran over to her to beg for mercy. Something inside of her clicked again, and she was startled to find that Satoshi was beaten half to death. "What...what..have i done?" Chika had said, each syllable trembling with pure fear. Her sudden anger and rage was unexpected, and Chika had no logically control of it. It was as if some other force was controlling her, the possible said effect spoken about.
It was a big trainwreck for her; her parents were called up by the police which almost wanted to detain her. She got suspended from school, and earned a reputation for being destructive. She was in isolation in her room for a few good months, and nothing Raiko and Renka did could bring her out. Chika did not want to see anyone, if it was not for Yui she probably would have begun her slow descent into madness. He came into her room one day and suddenly gave her a tight slap across her cheek. If it was now in the present day and he did that to her, he would probably knocking on Hell's gate already, however this situation was different. "Snap out of it. It was not your fault, do you know how much Okaa-san and Oto-san are worrying about you?! So stop being so self-centered and get a grip on yourself!...please..Onee-chan.."
Yui was 11 then, but those were such wise words coming from a young boy like him. Chika hugged her brother, thankful that she had such an annoying idoit like him. Though they may fight these days, but deep down Yui had a great admiration for Chika, as she did for Yui. Which was probably the reasons why he even picked up tuning for Chika, though it was more forced onto him by Chika. Before Chika went back to school, she decided she was not going to be that insignificant, invisible girl in Middle School anymore. She did not want that, so she went to the hair dresser to chop off her long locks in exchange for an edgier and more spunky look. Her face by now was clearing up, since it was a good year since she last went back to school. Thankfully she was not held back, since her parents managed to convince her principal that she would not lag behind.
Everyone did not recognise her when she went back to school, and even asked if she was a new transder student, Chika smiled and shrugged it off. She was not going to be the studious one any longer, so she took on a laid back appearance in class, usually found slumping over her table probably sleeping. Which promted her teachers to throw books and dusters at her to wake her up. It was funny to say the least, and Chika's previous reputation as the nerd or the destructive one, was soon put to rest. Chika tried not to put too much interest into her studies anymore, but it was hard to do for someone like her. Oh well, so long as she passed her exams, her teachers could not fault her. Life in school passed by without a hitch, and Chika was soon learning to enjoy life as it came. However, things changed when she started High school. She met so many interesting people, Cho for instance, in which she started the Wind Chasers with.
Who would have thought that she would become the Thorn Queen, that spacey girl with pristine facial features no less. And who would have figured out that Renka and Raiko possessed the Thunder Regalia, which was eventually passed onto Chika, who would become the Thunder Queen. Things happened so fast, Chika wondered sometimes if she was missing out on life. However her team Windchasers was not to be, and after her battle with Kin, she was forced to disband and ended up joining Kindanshoujo. But if fate were to play sport with her, Chika's life with a team was definitely not to be, as Kindanshoujo was disbanded soon after. However soon after she had returned from her exchange trip in Europe, Chika was unexpectedly thrown into a battle with Vincent. After which, she was invited to start a brand new team with him called Crimson Oath...

A motionless body. A frantic soul. A life that had yet to begin. A girl was laying on a cool metallic surface, as bodies clad in white hustled over her. Artificial life support was keeping her alive, but not for much longer. Her heart was failing her, and her body temperature was dropping rapidly. "She will not live any longer without surgery Mr Miasaki.", the head doctor said in a dead serious tone as he stared into Raiko Miasaki's glazed eyes. No one had ever seen him like that, unconfident, weak, helpless. He was dripping wet from head to toe, his body cold to the touch, almost as if he were dead. How he wished that it was him on the operating table. "Do what you must. But I swear if she does not pull through I will take your head." Raiko grabbed the head doctor by the collar, easily lifting him up clear off the floor. "Ye..yes Mr Miasaki. We will succeed.", the head doctor scrambled to say as Raiko dropped him back onto solid ground. Failure was not in Raiko's vocabulary and he was certainly not going to learn it now. Taking one last look at his daughter before he left, Raiko prayed for the first time in his life, that she would be safe.
Afterall it was all his fault. The whole family was at the beach, for a long delayed outing. Yui Miasaki was playing on the beach when a large wave collapsed, destroying the sand castle he was making. Being the cry baby that he was, the tears immediately started flowing rapidly and furiously down his flushed cheeks. Renka Miasaki immediately picked him off the ground, and attempted to calm the poor boy. Now, the girl with the orange-brown irises was sitting on Raiko's oh so broad shoulders, pretending she was a cowgirl riding off into the sunset on the beach. "Faster Oto-san!" Chika Miasaki yelled waving her fist around wildly. However, being the model father that he was, when Raiko heard Yui crying, he immediately put Chika down and went to the aid of Renka. Which was probably the largest mistake he ever made. "Stay put Bean-chan", Raiko said as he patted her head. Her nickname has just been coined a few days ago, and Chika was beaming with pride at her nickname from her beloved futher. However Chika being the playful munchkin that she was, did not listen to Raiko and wandered a litte too far off for her own good.
Walking with a slightly skip in her step, Chika brought her bucket and spade towards the water's edge to collect some seashells. The chocolate brown mopped one was unsuccessful in her quest, and ventured into deeper waters, unaware that the shore was gradually disappearing from her sight. And before she knew it, she was dragged under the water, her bucket and spade the only indication that she had wandered too deep into the water. What happened next, was all a blur to Chika; all she remembered was a bright flash of light, several masked faces and then total darkness. What had really happened was: Raiko had managed to canjole Yui to stop crying, and looked over his shoulder to locate his dear Bean-chan, but she was no where in sight. Frantic, the poor father ran towards the beach and looked out into the wide open sea. The bucket and spade was floating out in the distance, and Raiko's heart immediately sank. Throwing off his glasses, Raiko had jumped into the water to locate Chika. After several unsuccessful dives into the deep below, Raiko's fleeting moment of hope came.
There she was, motionless as she began sinking towards the bottom of the sea bed. Raiko swam towards her, as if his life itself would be meaningless without her. He managed to pull her back onto the shore where Renka had already called their private helicopter to air lift them to their company hospital. Raiko tried to revive Chika but to no avail, it was as if her life was already gone. As soon as they landed she was rushed on a stretcher towards the emergency room, where her frail heartbeat was put on a monitor as soon as they found one. And now we're back to the operating table, where the earlier incident with Raiko had passed and the doctors and nurses were frantically trying to resuscitate her as Raiko looked on from the viewing gallery. Renka was in the waiting lounge with Yui who by now figured what had happened to Chika and was wailing his guts out. Water was coughed up from the girl, as she suddenly went into cardiac arrest. "Shit, we're losing her! Charge the paddles!" the head doctor demanded a nurse. Raiko plastered his face to the glass as his worst horror was unfolding in front of him. He was going to lose his daughter.
Repeatedly those cold metal paddles were forced against her pale body to restart her heart. Eyes were now all focused on the heart rate monitor, which finally after several heart stopping moments (ironic no? XD) started to show the trickle of life again. Heaving a heavy sigh of relief, the doctors only thought they were in the clear. How wrong they were. As a nurse checked over Chika, she noticed that blood was seeping into her conjunctiva, an definite sign of thoracic trauma. She must have hit her head on some rock structure when she was dragged underneath by the strong under currents. There was no options left, this girl was dying and it seemed experimental technology their company was developing was the the only way out at this point. Doctors looked up to Raiko to get his approval, which he immediately did, promting the nurses to scramble towards the research labs. Time was of the essence, and the nurses were way too slow. Raiko was going insane in the viewing gallery, watching his precious little daughter get cut up like that. The experimental drug and equipment were brought in.
The box where the drug resided in was slowly opened, and smoke came creeping out of the box which was stored in a freezing cold storage facility. Extracting some of that disgustingly neon green liquid into a syringe which was then injected into her bloodstream. Now all they could do was wait, they needed to give her time. Her heart rate started dropping rapidly again, and her body started shaking uncontrollably on its own. Raiko had ran down to the operating room by now, and was about to slam the doctor against the wall, when the whole room went silent. Chika's body had stopped moving, and her heart rate miraculously returned back to normal. Dropping the doctor to the ground, Raiko, who dabbled slightly in medicine, went to check on his daughter's vitals. Ripping the sheet of paper, he scanned it immediately and was amazed by the results he saw. Everything was perfectly fine now, Chika was finally in the clear, but the side effects Raiko had heard about from the R&D department would not show until she was older and only if she activated that.
It was the only thing Raiko could do as a father, no he was not fit to be called her father. You see, what his company was doing was not so simple as just manufacturing of Air Treks and head-hunting. No, if only it was that simple. They were part of a far more sinister and dark organisation which they could not leave by choice; they had no choice in this. Development of these "equipments" was condemned by peace makers, saying that they would bring destruction to the world. Cybernetic enhancements were done to them, making the users almost unhuman. Raiko and Renka Miasaki were overseeing this, and before they knew it they were in too deep into the project to pull out. And those vial creatures were born; these were the Extractors.

A-T information: Her ATs are customised with the Thunder regalia. It rises all the way up to her knees held together by ivory white laces. Black titanium metal plates surround the entire structure to conduct the excess charges away from her wheels. The base is a silver with the Roman numbers from 1-12 running along the entire base. The Thunder Regalia have been tuned by her brother Yui, and are currently a bright yellow with blue streaks.

Her facial features may not be perfect, but at least they match her face. Delightfully cat-like eyes sit just above her high cheek bones, as her button-like nose rests in the middle separating left from right. Slightly pouty lips complete her entire face, and is sometimes glossed over with shimmering lipgloss if she can be bothered. Chika has a wide grin with a pearly white set of teeth, since she for some reason enjoys going to the dentist for checkups every 6 months. She has double eyelids, which is not very common for a Japanese girl much like herself. Her hair has no fixed parting, but if you must ask, its on the left side. She sometimes thinks that her parents are not true Japenese, and emigrated here from a Western country, but at least that just makes her look more exotic. Chika has no tattoos at the moment, but she's hoping to get the words "Tonare on the back of her neck, which her parents would probably never allow. Her ears are currently home to three piercings, one on the right and two on the left.
With outstanding orange hair paired off with equally bright orange irises, Chika would probably be the most outstanding person in school. Which can be a bother from time to time. At least she has gotten used to it, and not many people actually pick on her anymore for that. She used to be mistaken for a boy when she was younger, because her bodily curves were not that defined, but mainly because of her hair cut. While her hair still retains its former style, short and spunky, it has undergone some modifications. With the back being slightly longer now, it gives her a more feminine look in addition to her straight cut bangs. Though her hair is always seen in a huge mess, because Chika always wakes up late in the morning and is more concern about reaching school on time, than brushing her hair. Bedhand would best describe her current look. Chika thought if she was going to make a fashion statement, she might as well go all out. Dying her hair a lighter shade of orange, than its original color, it now complements her orange irises.
Those orange irises are still a talking point when she meets new people, since its not a natural color. No amount of explaining from Chika can convince them that her eyes are of the original color. She rather not poke her eyes to prove to them that she's not wearing contacts so she just shrugs it off when they start pestering her for a better reason than just "Oh its natural." When she was four, she had undergone a major operation, which the doctors assume was the underlying reason why the color of her eyes changed. It was originally a shade of brown mixed in with some orange, but during her recovery, they "lightened" to become the color they are today. Doctors dignosed that it was because some of the pigmentation in her irises was lost during the surgery. But oh well, all the better for Chika because she loves the color they are today. Although, she still has a wide collection of different colored contacts, just to wear on occasion if she feels like it. Her favourite colors are the Purple and Green contacts.
Chika's uniform can be described with one word: Messy. She takes more pride in getting her AirTrek laces done than wearing her school uniform. When she's wearing the spring-summer uniform, her top button is never buttoned because she complains its far too hot for that. Her tie is rarely ever pulled up to its expected height, always being left half way there. As for her skirt, even though she hates wearing them, if she must she will wear them extremely short. As for her autumn-winter uniform, she tends to try and put her own flair to it, since the students are allowed to wear whatever outer wear they want, so long as they are wearing the school blazer, shirt, and skirt for that season. She mix and matches, sometimes wearing a vest over her shirt, or a pullover if its really cold, though her skirt will remain at the same length. She preferes to wear thigh length tight black stockings, but she also has a pair of orange leg warmers. Her teachers are always pressing her to dress better or else she'd be put in detention, but they have never gone through with their threats just yet.
Though her style varies a lot, its usually pretty constant when it comes to riding. She did not have much of a choice really, since she usually had to wear that awful looking body suit. Even if it was made to be tight-fit to her body, those metal plates that run around her legs were so hard to cover up with. It was a onyx colored suit, with white trimmings going around the entire body. Additionally, Chika wears a pure ivory-white mask which has lightning details on the left side of it, while the words "Tonare" are bolded out in black. However, Chika tends to defy the need to wear it, since she noticed that when she did not activate her Regalia, the body suit was actually of no use. Hence, if it comes to riding without the body suit, Chika tends to choose either really loose clothes for comfort or tight-fit clothes to show off her figure. Ripped jeans are definitely her favourite, but shorts works fine too. Gloves are must for her, and she usually wear a orange colored fingerless gloves with black trimmings around it, on it there are also words which read: Kick ass. Orange tinted goggles are normally placed on top of her head or if its really windy or dry Chika would wear it to protect her eyes.
The ring from her previous boyfriend, Satoshi, has already been discarded into the depths of the Tokyo Ocean. She previously wore a chrome ring with black trimmings around it, that had a Jasper stone embedded in the centre, which was given to her by Yuu. Chika has now placed it on a chain, which she wears around her neck at all times, as she treats it like a lucky charm of sorts. As been repeated earlier, Chika is not a big fan of girly clothes, preferring to fill her cupboard up with jeans (mostly skinnys and ripped) and shorts of various lengths. With a wide collection of shirts, Chika is always spoilt for choice. She usually prefers to spend her money on shirts than jeans because they always get trashed once she puts on her ATs. Her secret stash of jackets are kept specially in plastic covers, as she adores her jackets. Chika's favourites would be: the pure white jacket which ends around her tighs, and has a fluffy white hoody, the onyx jacket, which has multiple straps all over it and a simple orange jacket with black lines criss-crossing all over the jacket.
She is currently in Crimson Oath, and has an onyx black jacket with the CO emblem drenched in red on the back, adorned with numerous blood splatters. All team members are required to wear Red contacts, which she already has in possession. Chika usually wears the jacket with dark colored clothes to match, and is always seen with her orange tinted goggles and fingerless gloves. A small emblem pin is placed on the collar of her jacket as a mark of her team.

Chika is an average girl, living in an average family, leading an average life..wait that's not correct. Her life is anything but ordinary, and her personality is even more intriguing. The girl with bedhead hair was a whacky one. Her larger than life personality complements her nature well, as she is always ready to make new friends. She opens up almost instantly and it is not in her nature to sugar coat the truth. Brutally honest is she when she speaks with people, it may something come across as arrogance, but it always proves to be false. Chika was brought up by her aloof mother Renka, who was from an well to do family. Honesty was the guiding principle in her family, and Chika was taught to do the same. Which was probably why it has influenced her character up bringing a great deal. As they say, good moral values should be taught from a young age for a good upbringing of character.
From a young age however, Chika has a really short attention span for almost anything, and if she's completely absorbed in a thought it would be pretty hard for her to notice anything or anyone around her. For example, in class she's normally found either slumped over on her desk or spacing out behind a book either in thought or sleep. Her teachers have always had a problem with her and would normal A) throw dusters at her to get her attention B) smack her hand with a ruler or C) shout across the classroom. It was not like Chika was failing badly in class or anything, but they just seemed to get a kick out of it, or that's what Chika presumes.
Also her fiercely loyal nature could either be a good thing or it could cause her downfall. Chika simply refuses to believe that any of her trusted good friends would ever betray her, since she would never ever do the same to them. It was not in her blood, she just could not bring herself to back stab her friends. Even if at gun point, she still would not do it, not in this lifetime. However if she does find out that anyone has betrayed her, she would definitely snap and go and confront them, not caring to reason things out at all. Which is probably a bad thing, because she does not listen to her head and goes more with her heart. This makes her really rash and somethings causing her to make immature decisions which she will regret forever.
One can possibly say she suffers from chronic mood swings, and not just because its that time of the month. For example she could be dead serious during a fight, but once its ended its like an "off" switch was turned on and she goes back to her bubbly and friendly nature. So its hard to ever see her mad at someone for long periods of time, because she rarely ever held a grudge. Unless like it was stated early, because she was betrayed, then even if the person grovelled and begged at her feet she would not relent. Certainly its true that Chika cares too much for her comrades than herself, since she would do anything to ensure their safety. It did not matter if she got injured too, so long as both came out safe and sound. Superficial wounds could be healed, but if a life was lost it could never be returned..
Oh yes and one more thing, just make sure you do not steal or try to take her food from her, she'll kill you ;D

They are now currently are based in Japan before they were based in their USA branch. The headquaters mainly deals in the development of AirTreks, while the branches are talent-spotting companies. They scout for fresh blood to take part in the sporting world of ATs, or so they say. Sponsors are given to these individuals to train for the upcoming "battle".
Raiko: is the clown of the family. Raiko has dark brown hair, that has been cut in a fashion forward hair cut. He stands at 186cm, a towering height, and wears half rimmed square glasses. His eyes are a dark orange, probably why Chika has her orange eyes. He has an air of childishness about him. You could say he was like the father from "Bleach", one minute he could be all serious and next he would be clinging onto you. Chika absolutely adores him, but only when he's not acting like a kid, which is actually in a sense never. He has coined a nickname for her when she was a mere child, but it has stuck with her even till now. "Bean-chan" is how Chika is affectionately called at home, something she dreads hearing but has learnt to live with it. Not many people know of this name, probably except Yuu.
The story behind this name was that when Chika was young, she was a really short girl and her father seeing this, called her "Bean-chan". His childish nature is a polar opposite to how he is when dealing with work or serious situations. He can be calmed, composed and serious when the situation calls for it. Raiko is feared in his company, and no one would dare to tread on his feet. His company actually the pioneers developers of Air Treks, and has now currently has an international branch that continually searches for young talents to use their products. He has his owns a pair of custom ATs, which he doesnt use unless completely necessary.
Renka:
From her surname it was clear that Renka Seyers was not entirely Japanese, her father being a European while her mother Japanese. Her parents' marriage was an arranged one between wealthy familes to concentrate their power. Luckily for Renka, her parents had known each other since they were kids, and were more or less best friends. Even though they did not love each other, they were content with having each other's company. Renka was an accident, since both agreed never to have children. Renka, being born into such a family was forcefully bred into a high class young lady. Her mother had undergone the same 'training' as Renka, and it pained her to see the little girl suffer. Renka had to take numerous Japanese traditionally classes, such as tea ceremony, flower arrangement, causing never to have a proper childhood. She had to grow up in an instant, which caused her to form an aloof nature around her as protection.
Being so surpressed in her household, it later caused Renka to rebel. She picked up tuning which was not very common back then, since ATs were just being introduced. Naturally she learnt how to use ATs too, and never felt more free. She met him when she was working for his company, in which he spilled a cup of coffee on her papers. Renka gave him a complete dressing down, only to find out he was the son of the owner of the company. However they did immediately click, and Raiko asked her out and the rest is history. After some time, Renka chose to become his tuner, despite her love for riding. They made an incredible pair, and even started the company with her parent's backing (which was by no means easy to get). Whenever there is trouble in the household, Renka would always be responsible to clear it up. She does have a childish side, which she supposedly picked up from Raiko. Whenever she sees cute boys she would swoon wildly, and appear almost child-like in her choice of words. (Example can be taken when she first met Yuu.)
Renka has appearance of a Eurasian, although she looks alot more like her mother when it comes to facial features. Her bright red hair which falls below her shoulders and curls at the ends, comes from her father who was a redhead too; including her eyes which are a piercing emerald green just like her father's. She should definitely thank her father for giving her her height too, since her mother was a most petite lady; Renka thus teeters at a height of 168cm which is pretty tall for most women in Japan. Renka is definitely a fashionista, loving to doll herself up for any simple occasion. Her closet it stuffed full of branded clothes, designer shoes and handbags and one of a kind dresses. Renka never holds back when it comes to dressing up in the latest fashions of the season. She takes pride in her collection which has already taken up a space of 2 rooms (even after extensions her closet is not big enough by the way XD). However Renka does tend to dress really simply when she's at home, saying that its too much off a chore to look nice in her own home.

Yui:
When he was young, Yui always got what he wanted since Renka always gave in to him, as such he was a spoilt brat. He resorted to crying his lungs out if he did not get the attention he wanted, prompting Chika to immediately roll her eyes. Though their relationship is better now, their exchanges always involve some form of sarcasm, almost taunting each other at times.
He is the most annoying person beside her father to Chika. He is one year younger than her, which makes him 16. Yui takes after Renka, unlike Chika who takes after Raiko. Yui has green eyes like Renka, although his are a mix of a darker shade of green. He is a redhead like Renka too, but has recently added streaks of darker brown into his hair, claiming that it makes him look more "cool", which Chika finds hilarious. Yui lets his bangs hang messily over the front of his face, while the rest of his hair is fairly short which he spends ages styling every morning. He's almost a good head taller than Chika, standing at a height of 181cm, he's almost the same height as Raiko. Currently, he is attached to some girl, whose name eludes Chika, since he's always changing partners.
In school he's known as Casanova, and at home he's known as the Crybaby to Chika, since when he was young he used to cry alot. Yui also has a pet cat which has chestnut fur paired off with bright yellow eyes, which he has affectionately named "Chu". Yui is not officially part of the Tuning group, but he does part-time Tuning for Chika, and he actually is quite good at it, in fact Chika's ATs are maintained by Yui. He usually scolds Chika for not taking care of her ATs, but ends up getting scolded by Chika, since she older than him after all. He gets his tuning talents from Renka, who used to be a tuner for Raiko.

As a child, Chika was adored by her parents, especially Raiko. She has always been a daddy's girl, the apple of his eye and so on. Probably because, she was the first born and also because Raiko was very protective of her. He still thinks that she is too young to be the Thunder queen, but it something that he has to live with. Chika was never exposed to the wonders (horrors) of AirTrek, even though her parents were directly in contact with their manufacture. Her brother Yui was born by accident, since Renka never wanted to have a second child. Some of Renka's favour went to Yui, since he closely resembled her. Since he was pampered by Renka, he developed a tendency to be a cry-baby, since she always gave in to his tantrums. Chika slightly resented that, but at least she was older than him and could bully him if she wanted.
She did have an incident when she was four at the beach. Chika was left to wander off on her own, while her parents were busy tending to Yui who was sobbing as usual. As she walked towards the water's edge, the under currents pulled her in, and she was almost swept away. Luckily her father saved her, although she was unconscious and had to be rushed to his private medical centre that was under his company. Chika had to go through extensive surgery, some of which included experimental techniques, her life was assured but at what cost. Chika has no recollection of this, and her parents have yet to tell her the truth about the procedures behind the surgery. She lived a normal life, but her parents were told by their head scientist and doctor, that it may have side-effects later on in her life, it may come suddenly, if a "trigger" was present. It has yet to fully manifest itself, but on several occasions has hinted at its awakening.
When she was the age of 11, she discovered a pair of AirTreks in her parents room, which were oh so carelessly left on their bed. It also just so happened that it was in her size, so Chika slowly slipped her feet into the boots. As she laced them up, she tried standing up, almost falling but she managed to keep her balance. Sneaking out of the house, when she was supposed to be studying, Chika got her first taste of the world of AirTreks. How glorious was it, the feeling was unlike anything she had ever felt before, even those huge rollercoasters could not give her such an adrenaline rush. She tore through the skys, almost in trance, as the world around her was a great whir of mixed colors. At that time, AT was not widely released to the world yet so she was lucky because if it was now, she would have been ripped to shreads by the vicious riders that claim that they are stormriders. When Chika came home, she was surprised that her parents were not waiting up for her. Perhaps they did not notice she was gone was what she thinking, and she quietly slipped into her room with her ATs.
Her parents were all to sure of the reality that they were exposing their eldest and most precious to the trecherous world of ATs, but they had no choice. The head scientist and doctor who had performed her surgery back then, made sure that she would be their first test subject for the new age AirTreks. And the events just fell in place for them, and hence Chika was made to test these ATs. Raiko and Renka felt so guilty that they began leaving for overseas meetings and conferences, leaving Chika to fend for herself and look after Yui. Chika never resented them for that, she was, however, thankful instead. She was able to grow and mature much faster than her peers, as she went through much on her own. Plus, she even learned how to cook, not well, but at least it was edible. ATs were being introduced to the world then, since her successful test that very night, and Chika was fascinated. Most of her allowance went to buying new AT parts and forcing Yui to learn how to tune from scatch.
When she first started middle school, she was always known to be the dork, always cramming in her books if she was not out skating on her ATs. Puberty was officially making sport of her, as she was the oddball that stood out from the rest of the crowd. She was much taller than her classmates at that time, and the acne on her face did not help either. Luckily for her, back then her hair was really long so she was able to hide behind those long bangs of hers. No one saw those orange irises of hers though, which was such a shame. The only comfort she had was skating, so at least her time in middle school was not that bad. And one other thing, her previous boyfriend, Himura Satoshi was there to make it things slightly better in a way.
Their meeting was by mere chance, considering they were both from different clicks in the school. Chika was actually hiding in the bathroom cubicle, because her books were just thrown out of the window into the rain by her fellow "classmates". It was not like she was sobbing her guts out or anything, but she was definitely crying a little. She did not want to be labelled as the class dork anymore, was what she was thinking at that time. Standing up abruptly, she stormed out of the cubicle, to find that she was not actually in the correct bathroom. Satoshi was washing his hands at the bathroom sink when he saw Chika standing right behind him. Her eyes were of course swollen from her crying, and she was already embarrassed as it is and quickly ran out from the bathroom. Her heart racing as she sprinted down the halls, she felt a warm hand grab hers, stoppping her in her tracks.
"Hey why were you crying?", were his exact words that she can still remember till this day. Their small little conversation by the corridor lead to other events, and eventually he asked her out. They were inseparable, puppy love if one would call it such. It was obviously not to last, such love was just a superficial one, infatuation perhaps. Chika was only attracted to him because he was all that she ever wanted to be, popular, out-going and all that jazz that she was not. But things were never meant to be like that, all good things would have to be taken away from the selfish. One day while Chika was passing by the East Side park while coming back from AT practice, she saw Satoshi and another girl at a park bench. At first she did not suspect anything, however with her curiousity piqued, she went for a closer look. She trusted Satoshi, he would never cheat on her, he couldn't, he wouldn't. However, when she saw Satoshi kissing the girl, who was her best friend Yumi, no less, Chika screamed. It was the first time she ever felt this horrible, and it was all because of a jerk like him. To make matters worse, he even spat at her feet, criticising her for all the things that he hated about her.
"You're disgusting and such a bore. You're clingy, and never gave me any breathing room. I only put up with you because you're the smartest one in our class. Get lost!" Satoshi said before resuming his make out session with Yumi. Yumi, where would she start. She did nothing to stop Satoshi, and even relented to his advances in front of Chika. As their make out session got more heated, Chika could not watch anymore, and she basically just snapped. Pulling Satoshi's hair, she dragged him away from Yumi. Using the power of her ATs she slammed him up against a tree. "So I'm despicable?! I am going to make you eat your words!" Chika repeatedly pounded him with his ATs, till Yumi ran over to her to beg for mercy. Something inside of her clicked again, and she was startled to find that Satoshi was beaten half to death. "What...what..have i done?" Chika had said, each syllable trembling with pure fear. Her sudden anger and rage was unexpected, and Chika had no logically control of it. It was as if some other force was controlling her, the possible said effect spoken about.
It was a big trainwreck for her; her parents were called up by the police which almost wanted to detain her. She got suspended from school, and earned a reputation for being destructive. She was in isolation in her room for a few good months, and nothing Raiko and Renka did could bring her out. Chika did not want to see anyone, if it was not for Yui she probably would have begun her slow descent into madness. He came into her room one day and suddenly gave her a tight slap across her cheek. If it was now in the present day and he did that to her, he would probably knocking on Hell's gate already, however this situation was different. "Snap out of it. It was not your fault, do you know how much Okaa-san and Oto-san are worrying about you?! So stop being so self-centered and get a grip on yourself!...please..Onee-chan.."
Yui was 11 then, but those were such wise words coming from a young boy like him. Chika hugged her brother, thankful that she had such an annoying idoit like him. Though they may fight these days, but deep down Yui had a great admiration for Chika, as she did for Yui. Which was probably the reasons why he even picked up tuning for Chika, though it was more forced onto him by Chika. Before Chika went back to school, she decided she was not going to be that insignificant, invisible girl in Middle School anymore. She did not want that, so she went to the hair dresser to chop off her long locks in exchange for an edgier and more spunky look. Her face by now was clearing up, since it was a good year since she last went back to school. Thankfully she was not held back, since her parents managed to convince her principal that she would not lag behind.
Everyone did not recognise her when she went back to school, and even asked if she was a new transder student, Chika smiled and shrugged it off. She was not going to be the studious one any longer, so she took on a laid back appearance in class, usually found slumping over her table probably sleeping. Which promted her teachers to throw books and dusters at her to wake her up. It was funny to say the least, and Chika's previous reputation as the nerd or the destructive one, was soon put to rest. Chika tried not to put too much interest into her studies anymore, but it was hard to do for someone like her. Oh well, so long as she passed her exams, her teachers could not fault her. Life in school passed by without a hitch, and Chika was soon learning to enjoy life as it came. However, things changed when she started High school. She met so many interesting people, Cho for instance, in which she started the Wind Chasers with.
Who would have thought that she would become the Thorn Queen, that spacey girl with pristine facial features no less. And who would have figured out that Renka and Raiko possessed the Thunder Regalia, which was eventually passed onto Chika, who would become the Thunder Queen. Things happened so fast, Chika wondered sometimes if she was missing out on life. However her team Windchasers was not to be, and after her battle with Kin, she was forced to disband and ended up joining Kindanshoujo. But if fate were to play sport with her, Chika's life with a team was definitely not to be, as Kindanshoujo was disbanded soon after. However soon after she had returned from her exchange trip in Europe, Chika was unexpectedly thrown into a battle with Vincent. After which, she was invited to start a brand new team with him called Crimson Oath...

A motionless body. A frantic soul. A life that had yet to begin. A girl was laying on a cool metallic surface, as bodies clad in white hustled over her. Artificial life support was keeping her alive, but not for much longer. Her heart was failing her, and her body temperature was dropping rapidly. "She will not live any longer without surgery Mr Miasaki.", the head doctor said in a dead serious tone as he stared into Raiko Miasaki's glazed eyes. No one had ever seen him like that, unconfident, weak, helpless. He was dripping wet from head to toe, his body cold to the touch, almost as if he were dead. How he wished that it was him on the operating table. "Do what you must. But I swear if she does not pull through I will take your head." Raiko grabbed the head doctor by the collar, easily lifting him up clear off the floor. "Ye..yes Mr Miasaki. We will succeed.", the head doctor scrambled to say as Raiko dropped him back onto solid ground. Failure was not in Raiko's vocabulary and he was certainly not going to learn it now. Taking one last look at his daughter before he left, Raiko prayed for the first time in his life, that she would be safe.
Afterall it was all his fault. The whole family was at the beach, for a long delayed outing. Yui Miasaki was playing on the beach when a large wave collapsed, destroying the sand castle he was making. Being the cry baby that he was, the tears immediately started flowing rapidly and furiously down his flushed cheeks. Renka Miasaki immediately picked him off the ground, and attempted to calm the poor boy. Now, the girl with the orange-brown irises was sitting on Raiko's oh so broad shoulders, pretending she was a cowgirl riding off into the sunset on the beach. "Faster Oto-san!" Chika Miasaki yelled waving her fist around wildly. However, being the model father that he was, when Raiko heard Yui crying, he immediately put Chika down and went to the aid of Renka. Which was probably the largest mistake he ever made. "Stay put Bean-chan", Raiko said as he patted her head. Her nickname has just been coined a few days ago, and Chika was beaming with pride at her nickname from her beloved futher. However Chika being the playful munchkin that she was, did not listen to Raiko and wandered a litte too far off for her own good.
Walking with a slightly skip in her step, Chika brought her bucket and spade towards the water's edge to collect some seashells. The chocolate brown mopped one was unsuccessful in her quest, and ventured into deeper waters, unaware that the shore was gradually disappearing from her sight. And before she knew it, she was dragged under the water, her bucket and spade the only indication that she had wandered too deep into the water. What happened next, was all a blur to Chika; all she remembered was a bright flash of light, several masked faces and then total darkness. What had really happened was: Raiko had managed to canjole Yui to stop crying, and looked over his shoulder to locate his dear Bean-chan, but she was no where in sight. Frantic, the poor father ran towards the beach and looked out into the wide open sea. The bucket and spade was floating out in the distance, and Raiko's heart immediately sank. Throwing off his glasses, Raiko had jumped into the water to locate Chika. After several unsuccessful dives into the deep below, Raiko's fleeting moment of hope came.
There she was, motionless as she began sinking towards the bottom of the sea bed. Raiko swam towards her, as if his life itself would be meaningless without her. He managed to pull her back onto the shore where Renka had already called their private helicopter to air lift them to their company hospital. Raiko tried to revive Chika but to no avail, it was as if her life was already gone. As soon as they landed she was rushed on a stretcher towards the emergency room, where her frail heartbeat was put on a monitor as soon as they found one. And now we're back to the operating table, where the earlier incident with Raiko had passed and the doctors and nurses were frantically trying to resuscitate her as Raiko looked on from the viewing gallery. Renka was in the waiting lounge with Yui who by now figured what had happened to Chika and was wailing his guts out. Water was coughed up from the girl, as she suddenly went into cardiac arrest. "Shit, we're losing her! Charge the paddles!" the head doctor demanded a nurse. Raiko plastered his face to the glass as his worst horror was unfolding in front of him. He was going to lose his daughter.
Repeatedly those cold metal paddles were forced against her pale body to restart her heart. Eyes were now all focused on the heart rate monitor, which finally after several heart stopping moments (ironic no? XD) started to show the trickle of life again. Heaving a heavy sigh of relief, the doctors only thought they were in the clear. How wrong they were. As a nurse checked over Chika, she noticed that blood was seeping into her conjunctiva, an definite sign of thoracic trauma. She must have hit her head on some rock structure when she was dragged underneath by the strong under currents. There was no options left, this girl was dying and it seemed experimental technology their company was developing was the the only way out at this point. Doctors looked up to Raiko to get his approval, which he immediately did, promting the nurses to scramble towards the research labs. Time was of the essence, and the nurses were way too slow. Raiko was going insane in the viewing gallery, watching his precious little daughter get cut up like that. The experimental drug and equipment were brought in.
The box where the drug resided in was slowly opened, and smoke came creeping out of the box which was stored in a freezing cold storage facility. Extracting some of that disgustingly neon green liquid into a syringe which was then injected into her bloodstream. Now all they could do was wait, they needed to give her time. Her heart rate started dropping rapidly again, and her body started shaking uncontrollably on its own. Raiko had ran down to the operating room by now, and was about to slam the doctor against the wall, when the whole room went silent. Chika's body had stopped moving, and her heart rate miraculously returned back to normal. Dropping the doctor to the ground, Raiko, who dabbled slightly in medicine, went to check on his daughter's vitals. Ripping the sheet of paper, he scanned it immediately and was amazed by the results he saw. Everything was perfectly fine now, Chika was finally in the clear, but the side effects Raiko had heard about from the R&D department would not show until she was older and only if she activated that.
It was the only thing Raiko could do as a father, no he was not fit to be called her father. You see, what his company was doing was not so simple as just manufacturing of Air Treks and head-hunting. No, if only it was that simple. They were part of a far more sinister and dark organisation which they could not leave by choice; they had no choice in this. Development of these "equipments" was condemned by peace makers, saying that they would bring destruction to the world. Cybernetic enhancements were done to them, making the users almost unhuman. Raiko and Renka Miasaki were overseeing this, and before they knew it they were in too deep into the project to pull out. And those vial creatures were born; these were the Extractors.
