I put Death note first because it was very interesting on how both Kira and L unfold their plans for catching each other and so on. Air gear for second because it was pretty close to the manga as well for the soundtrack music that went along well with it, though i wish there was a second season. Last was third, unfortunately i come up with a third.

I know what mahou shoujo is. Needless to say, I'm really not a fan of Mahou Shoujo. I'm more into Romance, Drama and Psychological animes.

The reason I loved CCS so much was because of the last 20 or so episodes where Li went into character development overdrive mode and I nearly shat myself to see how much he and his feelings for Sakura exploded in growth in that amount of time. I didn't really care too much about Sakura herself.

The only mahou shoujo I absolutely adored other then CCS was the Nanoha series (except StrikerS), so that could be the reason why I haven't heard of this. I dunno, maybe I'll give it try over the summer when I have time.

1) it is watched by 12 year olds across the world (the age group with the most relative population in the world)
2) It is the anime people watch when they are EXTREMELY BORED and have NOTHING else to do
3) The people who rate Anime are retards, because Naruto is so dragged out
4) WHAT ABOUT THE FUCKING ONE HUNDRED EPS OF FILLERS?????

The main problem with never-ending shounens such as Naruto or Bleach is that they lack any sort of conclusion. This causes the mangaka to be driven into a corner and pull some crazy stunt just to get to never-end. And even if they don't drive themselves into a corner, the anime begins to wander aimlessly to the point where you can barely even care anymore. This pretty much goes for any story or comic book. Everything needs a conclusion.


Not trying to troll or anything, but that's pretty much what I think about when I see people put shit like Naruto and Bleach and One Piece as their Top Animes. There are so many different shows that deserve that spot, and yet they're just settling for less.

I'm not saying you need an ending to make a perfect anime. Hell there are a lot animes that turned out crappy, yet are only 13 episodes long.

Gintama is a great show, top tier among shounen. And Gintoki's voice actor is Tomokazu Sugita, who's a fucking genius. I've loved that dude's voice ever since Kyon.

The reason why GOOD shows do not get much credit is because only a small portion of western anime fans are the ones who like something else than POWERLEVELS POWERLEVELS and Magic ninjas. Seriously, I'd say that 50% of animefans would say that Naruto or DBZ is the best series ever. Just look at cancerholes like My Anime List.

If you go to a forum more populated than this, and tell them Naruto is one of the shittiest battle mangas of this decade, they'll get ready to tear you apart.

Now that made me fuckin' lawl. You sir win the innernets. But seriously if I wanted flowing and deep plot I'd read a book not a manga. But if I want rocket-powered roller blades I'm sticking with O!G purely for concept and teenage roguery.

I'm glad someone appreciates my humor. But yeah, anime plot tends to be a little on the weaker side, but there are exceptions. If you want a really deep captivating and well-written plot, try one of Kinoko Nasu's works. He's the writer of the Visual Novels Tsukihime and Fate Stay Night. I strongly recommend playing/reading/whatever them, especially the latter one. IMO you shouldn't bother with their anime counterparts, as they are infinitely weaker in character development and plot. They're both completely translated and downloadable, so I suggest you to try them out, if you haven't already. So just for the record, PLAY FATE STAY NIGHT.

That is of course, if you don't mind porn scenes. They are TECHNICALLY ero-games, but around 1% of the scenes are hentai. While it takes ~20 hours to complete one of the 3 scenarios, the H-scenes in each path just take around 5 mins. And the scenes are hilariously bad described, often using bizarre mental imaginery about the genitals as sea food. So it's not FAPFAPFAP, but lolwtf. I'll quote someone from another forum on these scenes: "The words grotesque, membranes, member, foaming (FOAMING), and blood-congested are all used within 3 horrible sentences."

The way Nasu writes things other than H-scenes is simply amazing. While OG's continious wind metaphors just suck, Nasu really does beautiful (sounds gay, doesn't it?) and DEEP metaphors. In FSN, it's generally about swords (I am the bone of my sword. Steel is my body, and fire is ....).

Also, you haven't experienced what it means to be badass, before you've played the Unlimited Blade Works scenario and heard the Emiya soundtrack.

Though this is about anime, where doesnt really matter who draws the manga... Of course it matters. Shitty plot in manga=shitty plot in anime adaption. Unless you talk about FMA. Then it's AWESOME plot in manga=Lol HERP DE DERP let's fight nazis in world war II sounds cool haha oh wow in anime.

Lol, I know One Piece is pretty generic Shonen, but like Air Gear I can't help but enjoy it.
