I happen to love neutral endings. I love how they suffer and succeed, only to go back to square 1. mwhahahaha.

i agree on the part that as a story ending its very good, but as for me i prefer a well closed ending with everything answered and showed(i would so much like ot see a 2nd season Shamploo after that ending xD)

BTW, Happy ending and Everyone Dies are tied. Finally the poll looks more realistic.

Air Gear really needs a happy ending. After all that to free the skies if they dont that would be really depressing. What i think would be great is if it was like X/1999 where the bad guy one but became good making it a happy ending.

I'd prefer it to be a neutral ending. I wouldn't want to cry of course and it'll be unrealistic if everything was resolved. I don't it'd be hard to resolve all of this chaos.

But happy ending are overdone and overrated :D, they has to be times where bad endings happen or nothing happens. But then again if nothing happens, the whole storyline and climaxes would be pointless :(.

it depends on the animes u usually see or have seen recently...as i mentioned before im all out for a happy ending now, since the rate for the sad ones went up quite high for me...and they usually make it harder to get over the anime. I mean when its happy ending than i say "well ok that was nice, its bad that it ended, but oh well next one"...when its sad than dont feel like watching another for a awhile...

I can't stand open endings, I'm left feeling so unsatisfied. It's the worst. That's actually how I got into the air gear manga, I started off with the anime. I only like sad endings if they're done right, but prefer the happy ones, cause I like to be left feeling happy. :D

Yeah, they left all LOT of things unanswered in the anime; it's as if, they were planning to continue but got lazy.

well the case was prolly that the storyline does not develop in the manner that would fit a fixed amount of anime episodes so they just draw a line and filled with as much as they could...but there are unanswered questions from the beginning that are still not clear even in chap 174...

I think I read somewhere that at the time it didn't have enough of a fan base to continue, which would make sense, because it's a good ending for a first season, but not for a show in general. After that I had to go track down the manga, to get the rest of the story.

Well although it still far from ending I think AG will end after the Gram Scale Tournament, if OG would like to prolong it maybe after the Gram Scale Tournament, maybe it would be about the company/organization that do the research for the gravity children

well as for opportunities for a continue there are many ways so there wouldnt be a problem if the writer had the intention...since the current story is going only in one town expanding it to other town, countries and continents would provide countless more chapters...
Although it would feel a bit strange to always find a stronger opponent...like it was in Dragon ball that no matter how strong the former enemy was, somehow an even stronger enemy came into the picture but always only as strong to be defeated in the end...so that would be a bit disappointing..oh but for AG i would be happy even with that xD

I hate those kind of series. It makes the power levels confusing because everything is out of proportion. Some moves might be stronger, and other weaker. Just stick with the neutral ending. :D

Oh my, well heres his achievements again: Koga fighting againts Behemoth he took out Gorgon, and while Koga fought to advance levels he took out a girl without a fight (she got sick of him before the battle), while Koga fought Animal House he took out a Gorilla by sacrificeing himself (^^), and u tell me his useless? All sane girl and woman fear his pervertness and immorality. And we saw what a horrible weapon the smelly road is (gorgons naked dance). In a way he has more potential to defeat Ringo in the forest than Ikki or the Sora brothers.

Happy ending with a sacrafice ,I agree with Penguinisum.Ikki saves the gravitys children and shows the world how to fly ,maybe he dies or just dissapears but they put up some kind of memorial to remember what he taught them. Kinda like Eureka 7 ending. If he just dissapears would like to see his love interest go with him ,or maybe Ringo will sacrafice herself to save Ikki so he can become the skyking in the last chapter.That is never out of the question She is still in love with him and checks up on him in 174. Alot of ways you could end it but want to see it hit 300 eps before it stops.
