Has anyone read the manga Rosario + Vampire? its about a boy named Tsukune who thinks he is being transfered to a new private school but it turns out he is being sent to a school for monsters! there he meets a girl named Moka who is a legendary Super Vampire that was bullied by humans so she fled to attend the private high for monsters. its a good series, i'm hooked into it, the main character Tsukune is a worthless guy but he proves himself from time to time, if anyone read the series plz post! if not check it out at www.onemanga.com

yeah. The only problem that I had with the manga was that everything was resolved within one chapter all the time. If that makes any sense. Like the one where the succubus was being blackmailed that could've been dragged out for a couple more chapters.

I really like this manga, I started reading it on wednesday, and it is pretty interesting so far. I hope it becomes a weekly release instead of monthly, The art is a little lacking......but who am I to complain U__u

i agree the art is a little simple, but i really like the fact that neither tsukune or moka denies the fact that they like each other, it seems so refreshing that there is a manga where one person isnt too shy or denies the fact that they like each other.

@grahf: i understand what u mean but u got to consider the fact that 1 chapter in R+V is similar to 3 chapters of ur regular shounen. i think the way the story kind of develops is too quick, even though the chapter is 40-50 pages the development happens too fast. like their problem goes on for 35 pages and then they get the vampire moka out and she beats the crap out of ppl in 3 pages, in that aspect the story needs work

@Krompt: the first season of the series is finished now, the 10 volumes, frankyhouse has been releasing the scanlations about 2-3 times a week now, i wish they continue and do scanlations fo the second seson as well

Haha, yeah this is an interesting manga. I think Kurumu is soooo adorable. Her and her succubus self. Latent abilities it seems she has too that even Moka's other "self" was a bit intrigued by. Moka is cool but her other "self" is cooler. And deifnitely T.Y., its really good to have a manga like this once in a while. All the girls have admitted they like Tsukune and tsukune has admitted he likes Moka. I've seen too many manga's lately where I'm unsure who has feelings for who or if they even have feelings for them or if they are shy or w/e else the reason. Bah, its like naruto (sakura, does she like naruto?), d gray man (does lenalee like allen or what?), tsubasa chronicles (does sakura like real syaoran or still caught up wiht clone syaoran?), air gear (who the hell does ikki like?), tenjou tenge (this one is a coin toss except aya's feelings for nagi and masatakas feelings for aya), and many others.

Just finished reading up to the current scantalation release, and I gotta say, this is awesome. Though it's kinda formulaic in the "monster of the week, transform and save the day aspect," it seems to be developing more and more into something else. And transformed Tsukune is awesome (as is Moka). I'm glad Franky House is on this, because it'll hopefully mean a lot of quick releases.

yeah she seems to protect him and she did a nice job of holding her other self back. Tsukune is fortunate though. Sometimes I do feel bad for Kurumu because she really does protect tsukune at some of the most pivotal moments but he kinda ignores her and isn't sympathetic especially after he like cut her in his ghoul state. Glad to see other "moka" back with her "Know your place" quote ^^ Chapter 25 is up and was interesting nonetheless. Man, the outcast monster arc seems like its gonna last a long time since there is like chain after chain of leadership within that group. ONe dies then another one shows up, then another one.... I wonder when we will se the top heads of this group...

sorry to disappoint u but in this manga, apparently u can only be born as a vampire, so theres no way tsukune can be one. Moka even said that the transformation can turn tsukune into almost anything and that its dependent on him and his will power, that lock is made special, i saw the raw so i dont have an exact idea on wat it does

It's supposed to stop the Ghoul from taking over again, at least that is what it is supposed to do, i think it actually channels the ghoul and allows Tsukune to control the power subconsciously.

Don't misunderstand here. What he is transforming into IS a vampire. But what i said is that that chain he has just controls the amount that he actually transforms.

He isnt necessarily lasting for blood in general. As far as i know ghouls who drink their masters blood are lasting for that blood only. So it might be that Tsukune is only interested in her blood.

And to me this seems like a dbz style story where no matter how strong they become, there will always pop up a new, even stronger guy who for some unknown but goddamn good reason was hiding sitting in the darkness waiting for some main character like guy to appear... and thats for the one of the storylines...
the other one would be the relation between the 2 of the main chars but whatever happenes it always falls back to the same state it gotten in the earlier chaps...

he is able to temporarily use a bit of the ghoul's power, enough for him to use the super strength and increase his rate of healing. but that doesnt mean he is turning into a vampire, he is just "borrowing" for lack of better word, the power that happened to leak out, even though it was suppose to seal his powers forever, but i think the priest meant to allow the power to be usable because him and the driver (i think he is like the head master or something, idk but that guy knows too much) knows tsukune is human and he will need that power in order to stay at the academy

In later chapters u see the charms on his magic seal breaking everytime he uses the vampire/ ghoul's power so u can tell that the seal is pretty much for only temporary use

Yay, new chapter was awesome, even though it wasn't a surprise. Well, to be fair, I thought the headmaster would end up being the bus driver, but then again... it still might be, if my suspicions are correct. Regardless, he can finally use the power willingly, which is pretty damn cool. Does anyone know how many links there are on the chain?

Also, what we're currently up to is the max on the wikipedia information... Does that mean there are no more tanks and we're into the magazine stage?

no the 1st season, which is the first 10 volumes is complete in japan, and they showed the second season's first chapter in a magazine i think as a preview of some sort (i might be wrong) so after chapter 40, it'll be tsukune and gang's 2nd year at the youkai academy with a different enemies

Well actually it is not the same thing, on ichigo 100% we never knew who it was, manaka was always troubled to choose.Rosario + Vampire is more like Love Hina, u know all the girls love the guy, he likes them all whoever he picked someone since the start, on love hina it was always about naru/keitaro, same thing works here.

Actually, I wanted Satsuki for awhile, too... until she became a character of herself used just for comedic relief in the last arc. Then I was like, okay, fine, I'll switch gears and root for Nishino (since I hated Tojou >.>).

Yeah well its not so surprising, i think the one who draws the manga wrote himself that this is one of his first serious tries and it prolly means that he just began a story with lesser quality and if it gets enough attention to go on than the quality will also rise. BTW my favorite character is Kurumu.Moka is fine too but she's weak in that form except if she changes into vampire.I like her more that way.

well he is a firned of the school chairman, and the two seem to give off the same aura. besides the only way to pass the barrier is if he drives the bus and alot of the teachers show him respect. the fact that he is able to pass through the barrier with ease, means he is able to break and regenerate the barrier, thus meaning he has great magical powers. the whole point of this school is so that youkai and humans can live in peace so tsukune might have been his pet project or something. he also seems to be able to sense and read minds, so he could have pitied tsukune and understood his desperateness to make friends and the fact that he is a responsible guy with a good heart. i seriously think he is one of the 3 demon lords who controls over the school

Even though I find Moka pretty cute,she's kinda disturbing too.She's always the
one who puts Tsukune in danger and she's so weak(when being normal).But I
definetily prefer Vampire Moka.And finally she appeared.

I think the one who should end up with Tsukune is Kurumu.She's always there

Even so I believe that if that'd harm him,Kurumu wouldn't even kiss him.Or they'd find another solution.

i think the outer moka is the result of the sealing of the power, both outer and inner moka share the same memories and such but intelligence and maturity wise like ringo u said, the inner moka is way older. the outer moka still seems like a kid to me, i mean like if their personality was split during the sealing, outer moka is a childish version of the inner moka, except way kinder

tsukune controlling the vampire blood's power? nott going to happen ppl. atleast not fully that is. He got his power directly from Moka san, a super vampire, a 100% pure monster. Hakuto his apprearance is that of an outcast monster (a mixed breed). moka said that vampires are originally like a ghoul, seeking blood, so a human like tsukune with absolutely no power would probably get consumed and never come back. though it did surprise me that hakuto was able to keep his conciousness unlike tsukune

meh, not too much to spoil anyways. Moka's sister is a cutie but the whole "destroy outer Moka to draw out inner Moka" is kinda crazy. I wonder who's going to be fighting the group this time around, because it seems like Anti-thesis isn't going to be doing much for a while. there is 3 things i dont like about this manga..
1. the fights are always way to short.
2. there is always someone (moka) who destroys the good fights.
3. u can always tell what will happend.

2. Those good fights tend to be with stukune using his vmpire blood thuse Moka ruining them by ending them, is necessary for the character to survive.
