Overall Appearance:
Yasuo looks like your average elementary school student, but he has a slightly wild air about him. He is always cheerful and smiling and he is full of energy. He skips around like the typical child, and is full of laughter, but every once in a while, he can be seen looking off into the distance with a lonely expression on his face.

At night or when riding Yasuo wears an old pair of ratty cargo shorts, worn by use and age and covered in charcoal smudges. He wears a white long sleeve shirt that says “Hot!” on the front. The shirt is also worn, and the sleeves are singed up to the elbows. On his back, he always carries a small black backpack that contains his pair of AT’s, a box of matches and a container of lighter fluid. He wears a simple pair of black Adidas sneakers, the soles worn down almost to the base of the shoe.

During the day he wears his school outfit. A dark blue pear of shorts or pants, A white collared shirt and during the winter a a dark blue overcoat. Miss Himura, being his teacher and mother, makes sure he looks top notch, and he often wears a tie, and has his hair combed.

His dark brown hair is short and unkempt. His bangs hang down over a burn mark on his forehead. He has a wide smile, and one of his top incisors is missing. Freckles dot across his nose from cheek to cheek. His eyes are an extremely light blue, almost grey in appearance.

PERSONALITY

Warm things, especially fire
His older brother

Dislikes:
His parents
Cold places
Adult Japanese men

Hobbies:
Arson
Riding his AT’s

Fears: Yasuo is terrified of adult males. This stems from his abusive father.

Goals: His goal is to set the world ablaze in a sea of flames

Overall Personality:
Yasuo had an obscured view of the world. By obscured, I mean he wants everything to burn. He is a pyromaniac. Yasuo became a pyro at the tender age of five, when his brother set their house on fire while laughing maniacally, Yasuo made the connection that fire = happy. He had a very close relation with his brother, and his brother was the only male Yasuo ever trusted. Their father was extremely abusive, and though he knows that all men aren’t bad, Yasuo shakes violently when he comes into contact with another adult male.

Though he is usually happy and energetic, Yasuo is in fact a small child, so he is prone to temper tantrums. During said tantrums, he tends to indiscriminately burn things, which, to him, is quite soothing. Every once in a while you will see Yasuo with a very pained expression on his face, this usually occurs in October near his brother’s birthday, or whenever something reminds him of Ichiro.

His mother didn’t protect Yasuo and Ichiro, so Yasuo hated her but Yasuo sill harbor’s a soft spot for women. Perhaps because he still yearns for a mother figure which he never had. He liked to play pranks to get the attention of Miss Homura, his former teacher, because he viewed her as a mother.

Overall History:
A pyro at the age of five, most would think that Yasuo had suffered greatly in his (thus far) short life. He has. His father was a very rich man, who had from birth, been a spoiled brat. His mother was from America, and though initially strong willed and independent, after years of spousal abuse, she was simply a trophy wife. By the time Yasuo was born, his older brother Ichiro had been through 11 years of hell.

Their father’s company had gone bankrupt and Naoto didn’t know how to live the life of a poor man. He spent money on whatever he wanted, regardless of their financial situation, so when they couldn’t afford to eat, he took his anger out on his wife. When Ichiro was born, he had a new scapegoat. He would torcher the young Ichiro by putting cigarettes out on his skin, and Lisa would watch without interfering because she finally had someone to take her place. As the years went on, Ichiro became a rebel and at the age of 9 had left to live with distant relatives in Tokyo. While there, Ichrio was fascinated by the sport of Air Trekking, and knew immediately what he wanted to do. He wanted to ride. After 2 years of freedom in Tokyo, Ichiro heard the news, his mother was pregnant.

Ichiro, having suffered through it himself, knew what would happen to the baby so he headed home to protect it. When he got back, his mother was a shell of the women she was once, even further ruined by abuse, and Ichiro knew that the baby would die under such circumstances, so, he once again, became the scapegoat.

For 4 and a half years Ichrio was able to protect Yasuo and give him a happy life, but soon, not even he was enough. The beatings started to reach Yasuo, and Ichiro was pushed over the edge. He became edgy and jumpy and after a severe beating that ended with his dad holding Yasuo’s hand on the stove top, Ichiro snapped. He knocked out his parents, and set the house ablaze, laughing the entire time. He sat with Yasuo watching the house burn until the fire reached his room. That’s when it struck him. His AT’s were in the room, so he ran right back into the house and came out with them, his body covered in severe burns, but Yasuo was nowhere to be found.

From Behind Ichiro heard a scream, Yasuo had followed him into the house, and the house had started to fall around him. Ichrio ran in and was able to push Yasuo out of the way before the house piled on top of him. Yasuo made it out relatively unharmed, but Ichiro was in critical condition and had to be put on life support. After a week, Ichiro awoke to a smiling Yasuo with tears streaming down his face. After a few moments with his brother, Yasuo left the room and the doctors came in. They told him that he had at most a month to live. Ichiro wasn’t worried about himself, he was ready to be punished for the crime he had committed, and the situation was merely karma. The one he was worried about was Yasuo. He asked if Yasuo was to live with their relatives in Tokyo, but the doctors just averted their eyes and handed him a letter. The family had cut all ties with them, and Yasuo was to be put in an orphanage.

Ichiro was speechless, how could they abandon a young child like Yasuo? As the weeks passed Ichiro’s mental state began to deteriorate and became depressed and angry at this world that would forsake his brother. He would preach hateful things to Yasuo, and Yasuo, having the utmost respect for his brother, accepted everything that he said. In the final hours of his life, Ichiro called Yasuo in and handed him his AT’s, with labored breath, and delusional mind, he mumbled “Set this wretched earth on fire in a sea of flames,” and then his eyes slowly shut. At 8:35 PM, October 19th 2008, Murakami Ichiro passed away.

During the time Ichiro was hospitalized, Yasuo had been living in an orphanage and attending a school where he developed a close relationship with his teacher Miss Homura. The mental scars that his life had given him were slowly being erased by the happy times he spent with her, and for the first time he felt like he had a mother but then his brother died. Yasuo hadn’t been told that his brother would die, and was living with the belief that he, Ichiro and Miss Homura would become a happy family. The death devastated him, he became quiet, angry, and depressed. He ran away from the orphanage without saying a thing. While wandering the city in this state, he came across the remains of their old home, and was reminded of how “happy” the fire had made his brother. In a desperate attempt to cheer up, Yasuo set a trash can on fire and observed the flames, but he felt nothing but emptiness.

Wandering around the city, Yasuo was hungry and thirsty, but most of all he was lonely. While thinking about his brother he realized something, he had left the AT's at the orphanage. He ran back as fast as he could but when he got there, they were nowhere to be found. The dorm "mother" told him that they were going to throwout the AT's but a lady named Homura had come and picked them up. Yasuo ran to the school to try and find Miss Homura but she was nowhere to be found. Shocked and depressed about the loss of his brothers mementos, Yasuo wandered back to the burnt house but to his surprise, Miss Homura was standing there looking around.

Miss Homura turned when she heard someone running behind her and it was Yauso, tears streaming down his face, he hugged her. He thanked her for saving the AT's then hugged her again. Not once had Miss Homura ever felt so close to one of her students so she decided to adopt him. For the time being they are living together but Yasuo refuses to go to school so he is being home taught. Miss Homura has noticed that he sneaks out at night and comes back smelling like smoke but she just assumes he is going to the burnt house. Yasuo is in fact playing a "game" where he set's something on fire near the police station then runs when they come out to stop him. On one such occasion, he was not the only one who was starting fires. A girl on AT's had sped right across the front of the police station, leaving a trail of flames behind her. Yasuo was awestruck, he had no idea that AT's were capable of such things. Using his newfound inspiration, Yasuo decided that he too would become a rider.

Roleplay Sample:
Adrenaline rushing, Ichiro jumped, grabbing a grip no wider than an inch. With each leap, he felt a sensation of euphoria as he went higher and higher up the building.

Ichiro was climbing the side of a tall building in the dead of the night. He felt a rush like no other doing such activities and he lived for the thrill. Sweat dripped from his skin, but he wasn't hot. The cool night breeze refreshed him after each exertion of energy. At some points he chuckled, at others he just had an expression of extreme joy. Finally he reached the top. The force of the wind was tremendous as he stood several meters above the ground. Now any normal person would take the stairs back down, that is if a normal person ever dared to climb such a building, but not Ichiro.

Dangling around his neck were his pair of ATs. He strapped them on and took a moment to gaze up at the night sky. After a deep breath, he leapt from the building. For a moment he was free falling, but he was able to make contact with the wall of the building. After taking a moment to adjust his position, he continued to skillfully maneuver the wall, generating massive amounts of friction, effectively slowing himself down before he reached the ground. With a casual and gentle landing, he stood and went off into the darkness.

Alright, I'm not generally a stickler for being overly real, but I'm pretty sure if the rope had cut through all the flesh on your character's arm and was touching bone you'd bleed out within 7 hours. This is just a tad too unrealistic for me given the severity of the wound. Alter it to make it a tad bit more realistic and you'll be good to go.

Also, make sure you're familiar with the rules or all your posts may not meet the minimum requirements to earn you Training points. It works like this

10 words = 1 sentence
5 sentences = 1 paragraph
1 paragraph = 1 Training Point
5 Training Points = 1 Skill Point

ok two things - I presume that since he's now adopted all of his clothing is not tattered and worn. Also, You have it here that he was born in Ohio, but I don't see any mention of when the family moved to Japan.. or why.
