the feature for to change the skin youre using
that way people can use this skin, or a lighter skin, or a new skin

updated profile abilities, ie the youtube video for personal profiles
updated, more indepth user info. like fav anime/manga, most used rp characters

gallery/ manga veiwer for scans and artwork

tutorial/training section for scans

and some other stuff that ill think of later

EDIT: one of those things i thought of later:

consistent/understandable/acknowledged name colors

we have all sorts of people with name colors just for users light teal, pink, grey, silver

AND a thank you button on posts

Well, particularly since I occasionally link to mp3 tracks in my RP posts, I think it'll be convenient if the forum had a embedding tag for it. My previous forum had something like this, and it was popular with practically everyone. I also installed one for 12's forum, but that version probably isn't compatible with vBulletin.

There's a few scripts for it when you search for 'vBulletin mp3 tag', I believe. I'm not sure whether or not they're the kind that play whenever you click the button (preferably) or the kind that starts playing as soon as you load the page (might be annoying/startling).

And i'd be amazed if this place got it's collective scanlation crap together and started on it once more... I see chitchat here and there that looks like it might be the groundwork for organizing it all, but I don't care to read it all.

Well Humm I'm here just less than one day but I had a problem : there are in here the content to create 3 or 5 forums, and it is frustrating because as everything is in front it is difficult to even choose or to know what is important and what is not.

I would like to explore the forum but there are so many sections, maybe sorted in 5 sections would help and putting everything in subsection...

I think Blue is trying to say that the forum is too large and we should scale it down to fewer major sections and more subsections. I think..

The only confusing section to me is the RP section. I never can find stuff there. With all the sections, if you want you can minimize them on the main page so you dont have to scroll thru them all. Like if i wanted to not look at the RP section, just click the minimize and BAM, less scrolling. And it stays like that till you + it up. I do think we can combine general chat and off topic though. They are basically the same place.

For instance for me Sora Scans was only Scanlation, but in traveling in the site I found RPG stuff for RPG fan like me (lol) and i was not believing it in the begining but there is so much content I don't know 95% of the site so . maybe sorting would help browse the content because the first menu is so huge...

Its listed in main catagories and then sub ones. Once you click into a sub forum there are more sub forums. An intricate layer of many forums. But we have been here since 07' so there is going to be a lot. You can try using the search function, or you can always ask in the sb if there is something you are specifically looking for. Or if you have any specific requests or suggestions, we'll be glad to take them into account. :)

As for bluewraiths issue what I think he seems to say is that our forum is essentially an incredibly diverse series of forums put into one which is the case. Many forums dedicate entire sites to each of our various sections whether it be the RP or the fanfic section or the art sections. He's talking about a more rigorous organization of the site based on subsections rather than have everything on the front page. Makes mroe clicking but the entire thing easier to navigate and find what you're looking for. In essence we are planning to implement this to the RP section already. Now is it a good idea for the entire forum? *shrugs* I dont know.

I can see that happening in the RP section, but i think it would make the rest of the site more confusing. I'll look around and see what could be combined, or moved with out much confusion.

I think there should be a separate graveyard for dead rp threads. While I agree its nice to have them easy at hand to find and re-read they look ugly taking up space to me. I also second the option to toggle skins because not everyone likes the same skin.

With this issue of cleaning old threads, what do you would be a suitable time for a thread to be inactive in before it was sent there? Retrieving it would be more hassle as well.

I don't know, I personally think it's more useful to keep threads where they are, even after they're done. Plus it makes certain subforums look dead if you take away inactive or finished threads.
