Satoshi's martial arts conditioning has kept him very flexible and he is used to taking hits or falling on the mats, giving him a good defense. He's not very strong, though, relying more on turning his opponent's strength to his advantage as he was trained to in Aikido. His great hearing is slightly offset by the fact that since he hears a lot, he tends to ignore most of it (whatever he thinks is the background noise).

Road: Sonic Road
The user rides to a rhythm they feel from their surroundings and each trick seems to be a note in a song. It would also effect the pitch and tone their A-Ts make. The sonic road is based on the idea that the A-Ts resonate differently depending on what they are riding on at the time. Given this resonance, the sound created differs in pitch and tone and the rider gets a sense of the 'rhythm' of an area by riding it. Later on in this road, riders become familiar with the terrain around them by listening to the sounds and can familiarize themselves with a new area very quickly and in rare cases not need to see to know where walls are, etc. The one thing about the road is that it requires the resonance of the A-Ts while they are moving. This means that unless they are moving, the rider does not get any new information on their surroundings, which may be important if something is moving.
Effect on Satoshi's fighting style - (probably only applicable later on in the ranks, at least D or E rank) in order to keep his surroundings in mind, and not wanting to break the melody/rhythm of an area, Satoshi uses moves that flow from one to the next without needing to stop. At his lower mastery of things, however, this means he must plan a certain number of moves ahead and every rhythm has a refrain, or a predictable portion (meaning that I would be telling my opponent what the next __# of moves I'd be making in the 'refrain').
A-T Information: His ATs are grey and deep blue and are designed with speed and stability in mind. Personally and heavily tuned from an old base model. Additionally, Satoshi paints the sides of the wheels so that it looks like musical notation. His left A-T's front plate also shows a single closed eye with an flagged eight note design below it. Made up of whatever parts he could find as the old ones broke down from use.

Overall History: Originally grew up in Shiga, Japan but moved to the U.S. with his parents for his father's job (working with Mazda) when he was six. Their next door neighbors were the Onizukas. A few years later both of his parents were killed in a motor accident three years later and he was taken in by the Onizukas. Just recently moved back to Tokyo, Japan with his adoptive family. Started playing the violin when he was seven years old.
Hitomi was one of the original scientists that created A-Ts, leaving the tower when they started experimenting with the Gravity Children, to which she was opposed. She became especially irate with her family when her father, who wanted to continue the research, decided to use Hitomi's eggs to help in the human/gravity children experiments. This caused her to not be able to have children of her own and to adopt instead. Her family is quite rich, though Hitomi doesn't want her husband or her adopted children to learn about her family or about the research.

Roleplay Sample: Satoshi finished putting his notebooks in his new school bag and secured the flap. He never quite understood the reason for a uniform bag on top of everything else, despite originally being from Japan himself. He tried to suppress a yawn as he slung the bag over his shoulder before he walked down the narrow stairs from the room he shared with his adopted brother.
After walking down the hall and into the kitchen, Satoshi set his bag and jacket down by his AT/shoe bag and violin case. He pulled two thick slices of bread from the refrigerator and stuck them in the toaster oven before he broke a couple eggs over a skillet and thought about his jiko shokai (self introduction) that he'd have to do at the new school. The eggs sizzled as the *ping!* from the toaster oven announced the readiness of the toast and he expertly flipped the eggs with a spatchula.
He hummed the melody from the music he was practicing the night before as he finished assembling his breakfast and put the dishes in the sink for later. Having finished that, Satoshi sat down to eat, however, two bites into his egg toast, Satoshi glanced over at the kitchen clock and he almost choked on it. "Hmmghhnn! *cough* I'm late!" he gulped the rest of the egg toast down and threw on his ATs, running out the door and hoping he didn't get lost on the way to school.
